This blog is all about celebrating the sport and the mountain we enjoy so much and sharing it with others. It's a chance to declare why skiing and snowboarding are so enlivening and to provide some insight into those passionate people who pursue the slopes in search of .. what?

Tell us about your most memorable day at Mt. Hood Meadows, who you were here with and what made it so special?     I like the Jumps on HRM chair. That is a great use of that flat useless run! Plus people can hit jumps while others in their party can go down an easy run. How about some more jumps like that on HR Ex? That way we can ride the hih speed quad and hit jumps at night. You had a run like that a few years ago on North Canyon.

    ON Wed. the 13th, my 5 year old son and I were enjoying the windy ski day. We were the only ones skiing down to the Shooting star lift when we noticed that it was closed. When we got there the lift was on wind stand-by. The 4 operators were extemely helpful saying that we probably could get on in a little bit. After 15 minutes they said we could go up but it was going to be a windy ride. They ran it at a slower speed and one of the operators followed us up to the top on a snowmobile to make sure we were ok. My son loved the windy ride and I thought that the employees at Meadows are the best. Thanks again to those guys at the Shooting Star lift, they made my day!
