6 &Under Season Pass

When you purchase an unlimited Mt. Hood Meadows season pass, your children or grand children age 6 and under receive free season passes! So no matter how many kids or grand kids you have, they all can get a free Mt. Hood Meadows season pass.

Here's how it works -

  1. Purchase your unlimited season pass online.
  2. Bring your children or grand children to the ski area, or come to any of our pre-season picture taking locations or events.
  3. Bring their proof of age and relationship - a birth certificate works the best.
  4. A parent or legal guardian has to sign a release form for the child - you can download the liability release form here.
  5. The date of your purchase establishes the age of your child or grand child - so as long as you make your purchase before your grand child turns 7, they'll receive the free season pass.

Any other questions? Feel free to send us an email and we'll be back in touch with you.

Thanks for doing this. It's allowing my son to start skiing this year.

Kind of off subject but I have a couple question about the prefered parking on the Platnium pass. How many rows do you mark off for the prefered parking? Do you block off parking every day or just weekends and holidays? Do you guarentee that if a person has the Platnium pass that there will be parking up front for that person?

    Meadows reply:
Susan - thanks for the opportunity to reply to some great questions! We reserve parking every day of the season for the number of Platinum Passes purchased. So there is always a parking place for you regardless of when you arrive - guaranteed!

How much are kids 6 and under passes without an adult unlimited pass?

    Meadows reply:
The 6 and under season pass will be the same price as a 6 and under lift ticket - just $9! You can purchase online in advance in our store, or purchase at the ski area when you come up.

We (husband and I )are planning to purchase the 10X pass as well as an a 2X2 unlimited for our 8 year old. Will we be able to get a 6 and under pass for our son?

Meadows reply: The 6 and under FREE requires an unlimited season pass purchase by the parent or grand parent. However, you can purchase your 6 and under season pass for just $9 online when you make your other pass purchases.

If I understand correctly, it is the PURCHASE date and not the date the picture is taken/pass created that is the relevant date, right? This matters to me because my son will be seven on 11/23 and I'm not sure I'll make it up to the hill before then.

Cheers on a good program to build future ticket buyers!

    Meadows reply:
Nat - you are correct - it is the purchase date that matters, so just make sure you purcahse your unlimited season pass before your son's 7th birtday. And thank you for continuing a great family tradition!

I am thinking of purchasing an unlimited pass and will add my 6 year son. Question: Are there any discounts for lessons for children when purchasing the Unlimited pass? Thanks.

    Meadows reply:
Yes - Pass holders get 10% off our Children's Full Day and Half Day programs. Thanks!

To get the $9 season 6 and under pass would I have to purchase it before a certain date or is that any time during the season?

Meadows reply: That price doesn't change. In fact it is the same price as our lift ticket. So when child tickt is purchased this winter, we want them to stop by Pass Holder Services to exchange their day ticket for a season pass.

I bought an unlimited pass through the 4x4 group deal, does this qualify my under 7 year olds for a free season pass?

    Meadows reply:
Yes. The 4x4 is an Unlimited season pass so your kids 6 and under get free passes!

Do you get 6 and under season passes with the Spring Season Pass like last year? Or is that not an "unlimited" season pass?

Meadows: Yes the 6 and under children or grand children of Spring Season Pass holders receive the free pass as the Spring Pass is unlimited, after March 1. The child wouldn't be able to use their pass until March 1. By the way, the passes can be issued at any time - so if you make your purchase online in January, and you're up for a day in February, stop by Pass Holder services and pick it up. Then you'll be ready to go direct to lift beginning March 1!

I am planning on purchasing the unlimited Spring lift by end of January, which starts on Mar 1... does this come with Kids 6 and under free pass as well?

Meadows: Yep - the Spring Pass is an unlimited pass (after March 1) so children and grand children of Spring Pass holders get the free deal (with proof of age and relationship).

I live in England so will purchase my Spring pass on line before January: do I need a digital photo? Does it have to be a particular format? I would like to get a free pass for my six year old son: can I purchase the pass the same day we start skiing? Thanks.

Meadows: No digital picture is necessary - we'll take your picture and issue the pass your first day on the mountain. You don't need to purchase your son's pass - we'll issue it the first day as well (with proof of age and relationship).

my sister wants to teach her kids how to ski this year- is there a buttercup only pass...that comes with rental and lesson for kids under the 13 years that you have listed? she wants to come up at least 3 or 4 times. her kids are only 4, 6, and 7.
she will get an all mountain pass.

they will need magic carpet too...maybe only that for a day. what is that cost?

my family is already seasons pass holders. - she want to get passes next year but wants to be sure her kids like it.

Meadows: Our KidSki program is the way to go for your skiers under the age of 12. Here's a link to that page:

Also - kids 6 and under receive season passes for just $9!

My son turns 7 on Aug. 25. Will I be able to purchase a single day lift ticket for him online for the 2010/2011 season and get a free($9 cost of lift ticket) season pass for him since I'd like to buy the ticket Aug. 24 or earlier...while he is still 6 yrs. old?

Meadows: Most likely not. We don't place lift tickets on sale until we get closer to the season. We haven't determined when we will place next year's season passes on sale yet. But that isn't our final answer as we continue to develop ways for our online sales to meet the needs of our guests. Best to keep checking our site regularly, and subscribe to our eNews letter.

Is there any way to purchase a season's pass now so that we get it before our daughter turns 7 (June 4, 2010) so her pass is free? Thanks.

Meadows: Most likely not. Season passes will go on sale by September 1, earlier if possible. We are modifying our online season pass to make it easy for those who already have passes to simply renew, and then be able to use the same pass as this season if they prefer. This will take some time to implement. We also haven't determined pass pricing yet so we just aren't prepared to sell next year's passes at this time.
