   I've been trying to remember the last time MHM opened this early, and I can't. Can you help me out? I think I remember it being in the late 80's.
   
   Meadows: 05/06 we opened on November 11. Have to go back to mid 90s to find the only other two earlier opening dates in the last 15 seasons.

   I think you should be a little more forthcoming about your plans for the opening day. What lifts would you like to see open, do you hope to have at least one lift to the top going? Is it in the cards or are you going to drop buttercup and the snowcarpet on us last minute after you get everyone waxed up and called in sick. I know conditions are a factor but you could let us know what you expect to see happen. Sorry if I seem cynicle but you have been dodging the question all week.
   
   Meadows: Consider this - yesterday's forecast was for 8 - 20 inches. We received 4". That's a big difference when you mulitiply by our acreage. We're convening this afternoon and will announce the lifts and terrain we'll be opening as soon as it is determined, this afternoon or evening. We haven't been dodging this question, the answer has remained consistent from the beginning.
   P.S. - We're motivated to open as much as the snow allows, so we are making the most of what we've got and hoping the snow forecast for today and tomorrow produces.

   Are you opening Thurs and Fri too??
   
   Meadows: Yes - it's our intent to open with a quality experience that we can sustain. Weather models are looking good for cooler weather with more snow before Thanksgiving. So we are looking at daily operations once we open.

   Those pictures look so inviting …I almost want to get up there for a run down the daisy alone. Hmm, so you can’t make the call until this evening? I never really paid much attention to what goes on behind the scene but I reckon this early storm caught you by surprise and the work force is not quite ready for full scale operations. Tell you what, I can lend you my son for the day. In fact, I will pay you to slave drive him for at least one day …although I can’t even get him to take out the trash.
   
   ...why are you reading my stupid comments instead of getting those slopes ready? come on, lets get to work:-)
   
   Meadows: Staff is ready - but there's a lot of work getting the mountain prepared. OK. I'm on my way out to push some snow!

   Hey Meadows Team, lets make sure we have more then 2 camera's set up to take Pass pictures. Or is this too logical?
   
   Shreekar: We'll have 6 cameras systems set up in our new Passholder Services Center, located just down the hall from Concierge, across from the coffee cart.

   Dave, Not sure if you can say earliest in 10 years. Didn't you open on veterans day a few years ago and give me a free lift ticket for being active duty? Any chance you'll give me a free ticket tomorrow?

    I think I might pee my pants with all of this excitement of opening early. Can you help me with this? Otherwise, you'll find me by following the yellow snow through the trees...

    What Guest services are going to be open? Will the Coffee stand be open? Very important!
    
    Meadows: Tully's Coffe Cart will be open! So will the Schuss (you've been dreamin' of the Meadow Muffin months), the Alpenstube and Meadow Mart. The Finish Line will open this weekend.

    ok do you guys know what lifts will be open??? or is it too early to ask
    
    Meadows: Mt. Hood Express, Shooting Star, Buttercup and Easy Rider. We'll open more as we get more snow.

    We're trying to find public transportation from Ptld. (Lake Oswego area) to meadows tomorrow - our high schoolers are ready..suggestions???

    How early should I show up to get my pass pic and be on the runs b4 noon :-) can't wait!
    
    Meadows: Passholder Services is open by 8 AM. With 6 cameras today the LONGEST wait was 15 minutes from the very back of the line to walking out with pass. Most were in and out in less than 10.

    Can you let us know how much ticket prices will be for midweek and this coming weekend? What a great idea to offer early season ticket discounts or exchanges like ski area in British Columbia do for season pass holders at other areas. I.E. Red Mountain and Whitewater for example. Thanks for opening up early and getting the ski season started!
    
    Meadows: Tickets right now are $52 for adults. Normal midweek or offpeak price is $57. Normal peak day or weekend price would be $69 - but we haven't determined pricing for this weekend pending what lifts we can run and how much of the mountain is open.
