   Fantastic day today!! Can't believe it's only Nov. 11th and I'm already on the mtn. Fun shredding w/my kids - lots of little rippers out today. The snow was great, everyone was in a great mood and the sun even peeked out. Looking for an app for my phone though. Would be great if you could make something that hooks into your ticket scanning equipment and could tell me how many runs I skied in a day, also how many days in a season. Seems like it would be pretty easy to make an iphone app like this. Could even use it to distribute special info and/or deals about Meadows. Anyway, thanks for an awesome day today!

   It was the best of times and the worst of times. The snow was amazing for a mid-November opening. Your staff was also doing a nice job (i.e. ushuring people through picture taking and handing out cookies in lift lines). Unfortunately, there were far too many people for the lifts that were open. Amazingly, lifties were reducing the singles line by feeing four at a time (thereby encouraging even more to jump to the singles line). The frustration of long life lines was only exacerbated by the hoards of adolescents (I assume) celebrating Veterans Day by dropping F-bombs in mindless dialog extolling their prowess at imaginary feats. Clearly, Meadows cannot police the manners of its patrons, but the behavior of some creates a significant issue for families.
   
   Congratulations on an early opening! We look forward to a great season.
   
   Meadows: Thanks for the insight - we opened Daisy to help offload some of the lines at MHX and Easy Rider had a short line through most of the day. Thursday and Friday should hae the same great snow with fewer people, no holiday. Hopefully the storm will pan out and we'll have more lifts by the weekend.

   Some of the best condition's for an opening day I have seen in 10+ years!
   
   Thanks for opening Daisy, we had one of the best pow runs on Daisy, it even topped 6th-7th tracks in 2 bowl on our first run. Early in the day on Easy Rider was some great crowd free turning.

   Shooting star wasn't to bad on wait time but it was getting colder and more windy at the top each time I went up. overall an amzing first day. can't wait till I get back up there. Any ideas on how much more snow it will take before HRX gets opened.
   
   Meadows: We're hoping the Thursday - Friday storm will be friendly to us. We'll see.

   Great that you guys are having early season snow. Now how do I find out what RUNS are open before I come up and spend my money buying a lift ticket? It's great to know what lifts are open, but if I don't know what terrain is open on that lift, it's pretty hard to make a decision on whether it's worth coming up to ski. Here's a link to the trail status webpage for Crested Butte: http://www.skicb.com/cbmr/trail-status.aspx. Eventhough they aren't open yet, when they do open, it will be easy to find out how much terrain and what runs are open on any given day. Don't know why Meadows finds it so hard to provide this information; particularly in early season.
   
   Meadows: We are finalizing our grooming report and you'll be able to view it on a link from the conditions page or under the mountain section. Sorry for the delay but we're almost there.

   To put this in perspective right now--Whistler (maybe opening Sat), Grouse, Cypress-none of these are open yet. In BC til friday waiting to get on Meadows Saturday!!!!!!!!!

   If the Friday storm is as good as the forecasts are saying, is there a possibility of opening HRM for this coming weekend?
   
   Meadows: Hood River Express is scheduled to operate Saturday for uplift from the HRM parking lot only. If there's enough snow we'll open a lane to get back to the lot, otherwise we'll shuttle people back. We'll need a lot more snow to generally open terrain.
