Meadows Announces Opening - Wednesday Most Likely

Hi Folks!

Great news - this storm is delivering the accumulation we need to open the resort next week, most likely Wednesday. We've received 23 inches of snow since Friday and the storm continues to rage dropping two inches of snow per hour the last few hours. We're confident that with this snowfall, the forecast for more accumulation through the weekend and colder weather through the week that we'll be able offer and sustain a great early season experience.

The number of lifts and trails, as well as confirming an opening day will be announced here on our web site.

Season passes are on sale through Sunday online and also at the Ski Fever and Snowboard Show at the Expo Center. Monday season pass prices increase significantly, so pleae take advantage of these deals!

See you on the slopes - real soon!

why wednesday when monday would be sooo much sooner?!?

    Meadows reply:
We need to ready the mountain for your arrival. We're already grooming and moving snow but there is an incredible amount of prep work to do. Remember, there was no snow on the ground before noon yesterday.
We're as excited as you about getting the season going!

If you were able to open Wednesday, how does that compare to early opening day over the years?

Meadows reply: November 11 will be one of our top 10 earliest openings. We've had a handful in the first week of November, and two in October. So any opening before the middle of November is a good one!

Meadows reply: We'll know Tuesday what we'll be opening on Wednesday. The storm is still dropping snow which is great! No word on "Meadows After Dark" yet but we're motivated to expand our operational schedule as soon as the conditions allow.

Perhaps we might think about farming some of this snow into the major runs so we can stay open if we get a warm spell? or at least the known thinning areas. would hate top open then have to close.
But............YEAH!!!!!!!!!GO Meadows! open this place up!

Are you guys going to lower prices this year? I'm pretty sure if you do you'll get more business. With this recession, most people don't have 50-60 $ go up

Meadows reply: Peak pricing stayed the same - $69 on weekends and holidays. Midweek is $57. We'll have all kinds of great deals to take advantage of as well.

    Meadows reply:
Shipyard first. Then on to Rose City and The Zoo. As soon as HRM allows we'll add Forest Park and Park Place. The Superpipe will be added as soon as we have enough snow, along with the Banked Slalom. We'll build as soon as we have enough snow.
