   had a great opening day, with some great powder early in the morning. too bad both quads seemed like they stopped every few minutes, which made the lines painful! geesh, can't the basic mechanical stuff be worked out before the cash register rings? this is not what i expect from a first or even second class ski operation.
   
   Meadows: Sorry for any glitches. We maintain our lifts regularly throughout the summer. We stress load them, but there will always be opening issues when you put the mechanism and technology under full load. Many of the stops were also caused by our very human guests, who were remembering how to get on and off the lift.
   Rjay - you're off base here. We have a first class lift maintenance and operations department which has been recognized with the highest award offered by the Pacific Northwest Ski Areas Association. Their Tower of Excellence award has gone to Meadows mountain staff members three of the past four years, including the last two years when our Director of Lifts Tom Scully and Lift Maintenance Supervisor Dean Hardman won it back-to-back.
   Having said that our entire lifts crew is motivated to reduce any down time or stoppages that interrupt the guest experience. We can tell you first hand that they are up for the challenge!

   Meadows Park Crew did an awesome job with shipyard, those guys deserve a pat on the back. They were creative with features and made some street style rails and down ledges.Thanks for listening to our requests! I was impressed to see them constantly maintaining the lips to all the features. We know they'd rather be taking laps but we really appreciate the effort to keep things looking proper. At the end of the day this was really fun to session. Keep up the good work!

   As mentioned...impressed to see the park crew constantly maintaining the park. I'd much rather have to wait a few minutes for them to clean things up, then to have to try and manage with a crummy obstacle. Not to mention, the transition to the wallride started getting a little too abrupt, so we simply asked if they could clean it up and they did right away! Thanks guys! Now the big test will be if they can keep it up when the other parks start being built, especially when we start seeing some tabletops in the 30 ft+ range. Good luck, and we really appreciate it! See you on the mountain!

   My hat is off to you guys so far this season. I have worked on other mountains before and I must say that you guys seem to have stepped up your game.
   
   FIrst... Hats of the the updates of conditions on the website, they seem to be dialed in on whats actually happening, and update constantly. Big thanks for that.
   
   Second... For the first time in a couple years someone at Meadows finally understands how blogs should be used and nothing is being screened and you don't have to login to leave a post, kudos to management for letting people give praise where its deserved and also to giving criticisms, and for your responses being thoughtful, acknowledging the issues guest seem to have.
   
   Finally... My friends and I were so close to staying away from Meadows because of the lack of attention to the parks, I thoroughly understand the complications of grooming and getting a park set up and maintained through out the year, but the last couple years have been pretty rough. Mt. Hood is home to some of the top riders in the world and our Parks should reflect that, there is no reason we should have to fly to Utah, Tahoe, Whistler or Colorado to ride big parks with sick lines. I truly hope the riding community has the support of Mt. Hood Meadows this year in helping our sport progress. Great job so far on getting park features up and running, and a thanks in advance for the work it sounds like you will be putting forth in getting Meadows back on top of the park riding progression, our sport needs you and appreciates your hard work.

   Any chance you guys could pick up a corrugated tube thats longer than 20 feet? I know they are cheap, light/easy to move and they are extremely FUN!

    Hey Guys the wall ride at the bottom is way sick at it has been really fun to hit but the past couple of times i have been up it has been pretty high so you have to like bomb the whole run if you want to even be able to do anything on it. it would be sweet if you guys could lower it a little bit. thanks
