New Park Web Site to Debut

The Meadows parks web site will have a whole new look and be much more informational this season. We're working with North Pole Design to create an interactive site which allows us to update the park web site to reflect the placement of features in our parks. So as a park grows and new features are added, so will the web site.

You'll be able to "drill down" from the landing page view of all the parks, into a specific park, and then even feature by feature.

Meadows Parks Main View
This is what the landing page of the new web site will look like. You'll be able to see the locations of the different parks and use the Small / Medium / Large buttons to identify the relative size of the parks. There's also be Park Smart messaging and alerts.

The Zoo View
Select a park - in this case "The Zoo" and you'll be able to see the lay out of the different features in the park.

Single Barrel Rail
Click on a feature to see what it looks like. Notice there are photo and video buttons that are activated as we add them. You'll be able to send us your shots of that feature and we can upload them to the gallery.

We also want to thank Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital for partnering with us on our Park Smart Challenge which we'll be debuting at the Portland Ski Show. This is an online test about terrain park safety and etiquette focusing on Smart Style, ATML and matching your riding skills with the right-sized park. You'll be able to take the challenge, and upon successful completion be entered into a weekly drawing for a prize pack valued at around $200 from Dakine, thanks again to Providence Hood River!

All of this will be found under our parks section of our web site. We're looking forward to a fun season of progression and Park Smart riding in Meadows Parks this season!

    I see on your jobs page you are hiring a halfpipe cutter. Does this mean that the guy who works with the U.S. team won't be back this winter? Like the new website idea, it will help to know what's happening before coming up. Pray for Snow!!!

    Meadows: We're adding to our parks grooming crew. Remember last season Meadows had the first 3 pipes operating on the west coast - Vista, the mini-pipe and the Super Pipe. So we need additional staff to maintain our park offerings. We're excited about the new parks interface!

    Hey guys- IIIIIII'MMMMmmmmmmm BBBBbbbbbAAAAACCCK! I'm a passholder this year and I look forward to seeing the crew's hardwork. I've got to ride here and there- but fatherhood has created a detour but its led me back to Meadows! (as the one who spearheaded this program at MHM many years ago and installed 'Park Place', designed 3 'Vegetates', hosted countless events for MHM') I'm so hyped to see this program striving and creating the next Sammy Carlson! Cheers to Rev, the entire Park Rangers Terrain Park Staff, and MHM Marketing/Sales for doing an outstanding job 'selling lift tickets' as that was my selling point to Mr Riley & Mr Tragethon (who by the way looks pretty good for a desk jockey!) many years ago. So hyped to skate the terrain parks and pipes that I'm literally beside myself right now. 30+ years of riding Meadows- WHOO HOO!

    Great Job with opening day guys! Zoo was fun, the shipyard was fun, AND I noticed a rope tow in the shipyard! It wasn't running, but will it be soon? If so, that would be awesome.

    Meadows: We're posting a video that features Shipyard. The Ropetow is for the Adveture Park where we will be providing freestyle coaching.

    so basically if we want to take hot laps on the rope tow we can't becasue we will have to pay an additional fee to be coached....
    why can't the public just use it?

    Meadows: The rope tow services the Adventure Park and those that are sessioning with our coaches. We will only be operating the rope tow during the times that we are offering these freestyle coaching sessions, and at this time we're operating the rope tow only for those in the sessions.

    really hoping for a return of a qp this year! three years ago you guys had one built at the bottom of the super pipe, four or five airs in the pipe and then send it off the qp! soo much fun easy to hike as well. Really hope you bring it back. Hats off to the park crew on all your other features though for sure! Thanks for the good times.

    Yeah I totally agree!! I know it might not always be pracical or possible, but it would be nice to have a QP at the bottom of EVERY park, cuz they're way fun AND make hiking/sessioning easier. The new parks page looks great though, good idea! As always, looking forward to a great season!!!!!

    Hey your parks were pretty fun last year. But I was hoping this year you could make more step downs and step ups rather than tabletops. they give more air time and are easier to spin off.

    Just wondering if you guys have an idea of when there will be some bigger jumps? Specifically the ones under to the side of the HRM lift and the bigger ones on the main side, in what I think is the Rose city park. Is there a certain amount of snow you wait for? Like at 100" you will build this park up or whatever....

    Meadows: Bigger jumps require bigger landings so more snow is needed. However, this last storm is fueling our plans to get more parks open, including Park Place under HRM, Rose City under Easy Rider and the SuperPipe. We don't have a time frame but we know how important these parks are and we're committed to opening them as soon as we can.

    any word on the site yet??

    Meadows: We are in the final stages of integrating the site into our web site. The developer has in essence turned over the keys, we just need to make sure it works within our web environment. We should have some news by the weekend. Thanks for hanging in there with us!
