ReUse Last Season's Pass

ReUse Last Year's Pass

Mt. Hood Meadows is making it easy for you to ReUse your season pass from last year – which is the sustainable thing to do! First some ground rules.

You'll need the actual pass you used last year in order to ReUse it – so make sure you have it. ReUse ends October 30, 2011. After that you'll need to purchase a new pass, which will require getting your picture taken. So ReUse is the most convenient way to go.
You can only ReUse it for the same kind of pass this year, so if you had an unlimited pass last year, you can ReUse it for that kind of a pass this year. If you had a 10 Time Pass last year, you can ReUse it as a 10 Time Pass this year. You can't upgrade or downgrade to a different product.

The number you are looking for on last year's pass begins with:
  • UNL = Last year's Unlimited pass
  • TTP = Ten Time Pass
  • MID = Midweek Pass
  • NIT = Night
Now here's how easy it is to ReUse your pass!
  1. First, make sure you have the pass from last year – you'll need it in order to enter the pass number.
  2. Select "ReUse Your Pass" under Season Passes in our store.
  3. Enter the pass number (Beginning with UNL, TTP, MID or NIT + the 8 digits - NO SPACES!)
  4. If your pass is in our system, you will be able to verify the pass holder, and move on to purchase.
  5. You'll be able to add on Ski Check, Cooper Spur Lift and Tube Pass, or a Ski Green renewable energy certificate.
  6. Once you complete your purchase, you'll be able to enter another pass number to ReUse another pass, purchase a new pass or checkout.
  7. If you have any problems at all call 503.659.1256 or eMail Season Pass Assistance.

A special note about season SkiCheck.

Last season's passes had a picture of SkiCheck on the pass. This year, SkiCheck will be encoded in the barcode on the pass. You can simply add SkiCheck on when you purchase the pass (regardless of whether you had it last year or not).

If we had credit remaining on our pass at the end of last season will it carry over?

Meadows: Great question! If you're talking about the added value you placed on last year's pass, yes it will carry over automatically when you "ReUse" the pass.

Is there any discount for re using last years pass?

Meadows: The price is the same for ReUse as purchasing new, but there is greater convenience. Assuming you have last year's pass and you want the same kind of pass this year, simply "ReUse" it. Upon completion of the transaction, you'll be emailed a customized liability release to sign and return. Once we receive it we'll activate your pass - so you by-pass any need for taking a picture or being issued a new pass. You go direct to lift - which is the ultimate in convenience.

This is great. Thank you for making it easy. One question - how can I find out the balance of money I have on my families ski passes from last year?

Meadows: When you get to the payment page during the purchase process, select "I have a gift card or passholder value I would like to use on this purchase". You would enter the card number and click the “Add Gift Card Payment” button, it will check and display the balance and present a textbox where you would enter the amount of balance you’d like to use from the available balance. You can only use as much of the balance as the total of your cart purchase (not to exceed total charges). You can use less than the full amount if you want. You can use as many cards as you have balance available (one of more in a single purchase). You’ll enter a credit card for balance due if your gift/passholder value cards don’t cover the full balance
We'll also be adding a way for you to check passholder value when you are logged in to our website (soon to come).
    Thanks for your question!

Most obvious question. How much will the new passes cost and/or when will you announce said pricing?

Meadows: We announced the pricing 8.31.11 in a separate posting. Passes are now on sale online!

How about if I only got to use my pass once because I got pregnant?:) not only did I not get to ride all season, but I missed out on the added value I bought!

Meadows: First - congratulations! Second - we'll contact you regarding your refund question. Third - added value can be carried forward - automatically if you ReUse your pass, or manually if you purchase another pass.

My daughter had a season pass for a 14 year old last year, can she still renew it at the 15 year old price using her old pass, or will she had to get a completely new one?

Meadows: Great question. She can "ReUse" last year's pass at the 15 year old price. Thanks!

So last year i bought a night pass and used it once, because my mom was very sick and i had to watch her, Could reuse the rest of what i have on the pass this year?

Meadows: Sorry to hear about your mom, but unfortunately we don't refund or carry forward a pass based on the use. We hope you can get to the mountain this season.

My 10 time pass is now 2 years old. This will be it's 3rd year can I reuse it
again this year or do I need to have my picture retaken.

Meadows: The best way to determine this is to go to this link:
Enter the number from the 10 Time Pass. If it can be ReUsed it will allow you to continue, otherwise you'll receive a message which says that the media is not reusable, which generally means that particular pass is not linked with your particular record within our system.

Last year i bought a night pass for $130 (or something), but i bought it after new years, was that just for after Jan 1st or could i ReUse my pass and still use it before Jan 1st?
If not, what are the night passes that you offer?

Meadows: You can ReUse that same pass for $129 (or purchase a new one for the same price). It is valid from the first night of night operations through the last. Thanks for ReUsing!

I had a full season's pass last season & did not use it more than 5 days - can I carry it over or some portion of the pass to this coming season?

Meadows: Sorry - the season pass is only good during for the season for which you purchased.

Hi! Will you be offering and Buddy Up or group discounts this season?

Meadows: We have dropped the group requirement and instead are offering our best price directly to each individual, so you don't need to group up to get the best price.

Can you reuse a Nordic pass?

Meadows: Not yet - the Nordic pass doesn't scan (at least not this season). So we need to print it each year for a visual check.

Hello, I was wondering... My boss bought me a 5 time night pass last year in February for my birthday and I was unable to use it or even register it. Can those 5 nights be passed along to this season? Thank you for your time in answering this question.

Meadows: Thanks for the post. You have a great boss! Passes, even those unused, can't be carried forward to the next season.

I bought an unlimited night pass for $99 last year, can I still get it the same price I got it last year?

Meadows: Thanks for the post - the night pass is $129 this season. If you still have last year's pass you can ReUse it, and once we receive your liability release you're ready to go direct to the lift your first evening at the mountain. Or you can purchase a new one online for $129.

Meadows: The midweek pass is $429.

I bought a 10 time pass last year and was unable to use it- do those 10 days carry over or so I need to buy a new pass?

Meadows: The remaining days on a 10 Time Pass expire with the season for which it was purchased, so they won't carry over. You can ReUse that same pass however, and this season, darn it - use those days! Thanks for the question.

Very cool that you are allowing us to reuse the pass from last year, we would love to reuse last years passes, only ours are in our locker at the mountain, is the number on the pass available anywhere else?

Meadows: You can contact our Clackamas office at 503.659.1256 and we'll help you out!

Do you anticipate offering the Spring Season Pass again this year? If so, when do you offer it and what is the price?

Meadows: We make our decisions on the spring pass, both the price and when it becomes available later in the season, so we haven't determined that yet.

So i bought the pass and sent the waiver and what. How do I know if you guys have activated it? Also, I'm using the same physical pass from last year right?

Meadows: Thanks for the question. If you are "ReUsing" your media from last season (that is, if you selected ReUse and input the number on the pass), the next step is to return the liability release (which it sounds like you've done). Once received by passholder services, they'll activate your pass - and you'll receive email notification that you're good to go directly to the lift. Those purchasing new still need to visit us in person to have your pass issued (and release signed).

I have a gift card from a previous holiday gift, how do I apply it towards my ReUse annual pass purchase?

Meadows: Gift Cards can by used during your online purchase. Just look Gift Card after you enter your pass number and verify that's the pass you want to ReUse.

I wasn't able to use all of my 10-time pass last season. Can I carry over the leftover days to this season?

Meadows: Thanks for the question - 10 Time Passes are only good for the season purchased, so remaining days do not carry forward to future years.

last year i bot a season pass (nice pic), but this year i'd like to get a 10 time. can i do so online and reuse the photo?

Meadows: You can purchase the 10 Time Pass online. And we can use last year's picture on it. Just request that when you come in to sign your liability release. See you on the mountain!

will you guys have the unlimited night passes for $99 at the skifever and snowboard show that will be in the expo center this year??

Meadows: The night pass will be $129 this season - still a great deal especially considering the Stadium Express high speed quad is scheduled to operate nights!

After my ten-pass ran out last year, I purchased a spring pass. So now when I try to purchase a new ten pass and use the same ten pass ID, I get a message that my ten pass was overridden by the spring pass and can't be re-used. Does this make any sense? I'm trying to be sustainable!!

Meadows: Our system allows only one active pass for customer record and so wants to renew the last pass that was active. Give our Clackamas office a call at 503.659.1256 or passholder services at the ski area 503.337.2222 x1256 and we can take care of this over the phone.

Hi we bought a 10 day pass in December 2012. We have used it only 5 times. When does it expire?

Meadows: Thanks for the question. The 10 Time Pass is valid through the end of this season, currently scheduled for April 28, 2013.
