Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Resort has announced pricing and dates for the popular
Unlimited Spring Season Pass. The pass is $149 and will offer daily skiing and riding beginning March 12 through the rest of the season, including any bonus weekends the resort may add in May. Currently the resort is scheduled to operate daily through April 29.
Guests who purchase the pass early receive an additional bonus – $20 midweek lift tickets through March 9 – giving the passholder a jump-start on the spring skiing season. The midweek ticket is limited to one purchase each midweek day to be used by the passholder. The resort is also reducing the price of its season ski check to $15 to provide theft protection in its ski corral for the rest of the season.

The next stop on the national Under Armour 3RD RAIL JAM is Mt. Hood Meadows this Saturday, February 25. Now in it's 5th year, the 3rd Rail Jam is a national, touring, grassroots snow sport competition coupled with live hip-hop music, art, fashion, technology, and culture.
The Competition:
A slope styled rail contest held in true jam format. Judges are present at all features to provide the best scoring coverage possible. Each event allows for up to 150 riders separated into 4 divisions: all girls, 15 and under, best of breed, and skiers. Each division competes separately in a two round elimination for cash and prizes. There is a $25 entry fee, and $5 from each entry fee will be donated to AMPED 4-A-Cure to erase cancer. The event runs from 3 – 8 PM at Meadows’ Shipyard Rail Park.

The 3RD Rail Jam has invited graffiti artists to create and present during the competition, while DJ’s spin hip hop and regional bands perform live (weather permitting.) Mt. Hood Meadows received some Valentine’s Day love in the form of new snow – 6 inches of light, fluffy powder fell Tuesday bringing the base area snowpack up to 101 inches. The forecast has more snow throughout the weekend which should make for awesome conditions this holiday weekend. We're starting a slide show of shots taken on Wednesday showing off this powder goodness.
The resort is celebrating Valentine’s Week with a 2-for-1 online lift ticket offer – purchase 2 midweek lift tickets for just $79. The tickets are to be used together on the same day Thursday or Friday of this week. It’s a perfect way to enjoy the new snow with someone specials. The tickets must be purchased in advance.
Heading into the holiday weekend Meadows will run its Park&Ride shuttle buses Saturday, Sunday and Monday (President’s Day.) The round-trip bus and lift price is $89 and is purchased online.
Join us on President's Day Monday, February 20th for a day (and night) on the slopes! We'll have special extended evening operations until 9 PM and we're offering a special $10 online lift ticket, good from 3-9 PM. The ticket purchased at the resort will be $15. Season passholders and other advance sale tickets will be honored for this extended evening of skiing.
Regular operating hours are 9 AM – 9 PM Wednesday – Sunday, with lifts closing at 4 PM Monday and Tuesday. But Meadows is extending hours to 9 PM on Monday, February 20 to celebrate President’s day.

TWILIGHT KID'S CLUB - SATURDAY, SUNDAY & MONDAY
The Twilight Kids Club will run this Saturday, Sunday and Monday! Kids are supervised from 3-7 PM, and get a lift ticket, a 2-hour lesson, and dinner. Parents also receive one adult 3 PM - close lift ticket for each child enrolled in the Twilight Kids Club! This is a great chance for kids to have fun in the club while mom and dad hit the slopes. The Twilight Kids Club costs $75, and $80 for ages 4-6 (guaranteed maximum class size of 3 per instructor for 4-6 year olds).

The filming and riding talents of "The Hood Crew" stomped the front page of Newschoolers.com with video compiled at Meadows Parks. With the opening of Park Place, and jumps added to Rose City and Forest Park, the parks are shaping up for some quality riding, fun and progression this holiday weekend. This is the first official entry to the Meadows Film Festival – and based on the quality riding talent and steady camera work, is an early favorite for making the top 10!

Just to let you know, I was really excited to see you guys open up the hiking to Super Bowl recently. I was fortunate to skin up and ski some great snow in super bowl this past Sunday. Thanks again. You guys are really doing a great job working to make the on mountain experience better for everyone. Kudos to you and the rest of the management and staff.

Here is what I would like to report with respect to my Meadows "experience" thus far.
The High Performance Center did an excellent job for me! My first
contact was with Nate who took my call of inquiry about equipment
available at the shop. He was friendly and informative. I knew after
the call that I wanted to see for myself what the shop could do for me;
the 10% discount for my season pass was a plus, but not a deal maker.
I had demoed some skis at other resorts the year before, had tried
some new boots on, had done on-line research, and was ready to upgrade
my equipment. I began by working with Matt in search of boots. In
short order, Matt found the right boots. After the initial fitting, I
came back a couple of weeks later for the custom insoles. Matt did a
Great Job!! Really, the boots are right on, and I have been skiing
them hard since!!
After the initial boot fitting, I came up for Demo Day and tried six
different pairs of skis. Not finding the ones I thought best for me, I
returned a week later to demo more at the pro shop. I bought the
second pair I tried. I doubt I would have tried them (S7s) had one of
the technicians not recommended them to me; I couldn't get around the
fact that they look a bit like waterskis. These skis are nothing short
of FABULOUS!!! The pro shop also set me up with great bindings and
installed them quickly! Heather Canyon, here I come!!
With respect to MHM in general: The area seems quite well run! This
is especially noticeable when weather conditions or crowds require
adjustments in operations; things just seem to go off smoothly without
much fanfare. I particularly appreciate the accuracy of the mountain
conditions report on the MHM webpage because it is honest and straight
forward.
On the few days I have skied when crowds were large, I have
particularly appreciated the manner in which parking is handled, and
the courtesy shuttle form the parking lot to the lodge is a nice touch.
The time or two I have seen someone who seems to have had a
significant accident, the ski patrol is on the spot!
I have yet to run into a grouchy employee. It seems staff has been
encouraged to go out of its way to make people feel welcome! It is
clear that management has made an effort to instill a culture of
helpfulness and friendliness. Frankly, I don't know how the guys at
the chairlift operations stay so positive, particularly when the crowds
are large and they have to direct traffic while trying to keep from
being skied over or stuck with someone's pole. But, they do :)

I have been a frequent visitor at MHM for about 30 years, and a season pass holder for about half of those years (including this year). I wanted to commend Jeff for outstanding courtesy and efficiency at crowd control on the Express chairlift. Lines moved, and singles were placed in available slots without confusion. Best I've seen on that lift since it was placed in service.

Rose City Park opened Friday. The park offers medium to large features and serves as the primary slope style competition venue for high school league training and events. The Park has two boxes, two double barrels and a jump. We've also built some small jumps in the Zoo and a couple of medium to large jumps in Forest Park.
