Make A Hero Helps Individuals with Disabilities in Oregon!

Boulder, CO (February 2013)- Make a Hero, producers of the award winning film, The Movement narrated by Robert Redford and Warren Miller announce a partnership today with Mt. Hood Meadows and Hillcrest Sports. “Our goal is to bring skiers a great ski package with proceeds going towards helping individuals with physical disabilities experience the freedom of skiing” said former owner of Warren Miller Films and founder of Make A Hero, Kurt Miller.

MakeaHero.orgOregonians can help support individuals with physical disabilities learn to ski in addition to saving 20% on a Mt. Hood Meadows midweek day pass and save $25 on a $100 gift certificate from Hillcrest Sports. See the full details for the Oregon ski package at: www.Makeahero.org/deals-support/deals/

For the second year, Make A Hero is partnering with Mt. Hood Meadows and Hillcrest sports to provide this great package to help grow awareness, educate and generate support for individuals with disabilities. Proceeds from this package will allow Make A Hero to inspire individuals with disabilities to “get fully engaged in the game of life,” build their confidence and help them regain their mobility and freedom through sports and recreation. This year, proceeds will also go toward documenting local individuals with disabilities learning to ski at Mt. Hood Meadows by Make A Hero’s award winning camera crew.

Mt. Hood Executive Director, Dave Tragethon added “Mt. Hood Meadows has always supported individuals with physical disabilities getting back on the mountain. We believe in the growth of adaptive sports in Oregon and encourage all people, no matter their ability, to come enjoy the freedom of the slopes.”

The special $60 day pass must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance and the voucher authorization email from Make A Hero presented along with valid I.D. to redeem the pass at Mt. Hood Meadows. Help us Make A Hero in Oregon today! To learn more about Make A Hero please visit: www.makeahero.org

When and where are they going to show this movie in Oregon?

Meadows: We don't have a show time yet, but we'll let you know on our web site and in eNews. We support Make A Hero and Kurt Miller's efforts to involve challenged individuals in these compelling activities. "The Current" looks like another winner - can't wait to see it!
