Season passes will still provide the best value at the resort – particularly when purchased by November 3. The Unlimited Pass offers daily lift access from opening day through the announced closing date of April 27, 2014, one of the longest ski seasons in the country. And if the resort extends operations into the May or June time frames, the passes will continue to be honored. Pass holders also receive benefits such as 10% off rental equipment, demo equipment, retail purchases in Outer Limits Sports and the High Performance Center and restaurant discounts.

This season pass holders will also receive five discounted "Buddy Passes" - allowing their friends to purchase a day lift pass for $59 (Buddy Passes not included with the 6 & Under pass).

All passholders will enjoy the added convenience of the RFID access gates installed at every lift last season. The gates allow passage without having to physically display or scan a pass – no more waiting in line while others fumble for their passes for scanning.

Midweek+ and Meadows After Dark Night Specialty Passes
Meadows specialty passes offer great value for those whose schedules allow midweek or night riding. The midweek pass is $399 when purchased by November 3 ($499 after) and is good every Monday - Friday. The Meadows After Dark night pass is $129 and offers night riding from 3 - 9 PM Wednesday - Sunday evenings during the night operating season.

New “Direct to Lift” Credit Card-Backed Products
One of the many benefits of RFID gates is affordable “pay as you go” products, so the passholder receives direct to lift convenience (no stop at a ticket window) and their credit card is auto-charged at pre-determined discounted rates.

The Midweek+ Pass is $399, and includes all week days. The “plus” means the passholder can use the pass on weekends, and be auto-charged $59 directly at the lift.

The Meadows Club Card is $89 and offers the 1st and 5th days of skiing FREE! Your 2nd, 3rd and 4th visits will be auto-charges at $59 (saving up to $15), Club Card members receive additional FREE days every 5th visit (5th time, 10th time, 15th time, etc.). Members also receive a $5 discount off night tickets (normally $30 – these visits do not count towards free days).

Meadows Club Card members and Midweek+ passholders receive the same valuable discounts on resort services as season passholders.

Pass Protection “Refund Insurance” Offered
Mt. Hood Meadows is offering “Pass Protection” to passholders concerned that their season could be interrupted due to injury, medical condition or relocation. The pass protection is $25 and the passholder must enroll within 7 days of their pass purchase. Then, if they become medically unable to ski or ride, are transferred/move out of the area more than 301 miles, or are military deployed, a refund/rollover credit will be determined at a prorated schedule. Refund requests based on weather conditions are not eligible for refunds.

Add-Ons Create Even More Pass Holder Value
•    $35 Season Ski Check – Season long security for your skis or snowboard while you’re in our main lodge.
•    $20 SkiGreen Offsets – Offset your vehicle’s CO2 emissions for the season.
•    $300 Cooper Spur Family Season Lift and Tubing Pass – For everyone in your family that is purchasing Meadows season passes.
•    $40 Nordic Pass – for both Meadows and Cooper Spur Nordic Centers (normally $80).
•    Add Value – Charge up your pass with value to use throughout the resort – the value is on your pass for ultimate convenience.

Unless I am missing something, what was the advantage for those that bought a pass last spring at the same price other than MHM collecting the intrest instead of the pass holder! I looked back at last April's blog and it stated 1 buddy pass? Would have been a better deal to wait, plus we collect intrest on our money!!!

Meadows: The advantage was collecting a free Buddy Pass - a $74 value. If you purchased a $499 pass, that would be the same as getting 30% return on your 6 month investment. Sounds like a great deal!

Just a quick my kids (7-14 pass holders) get the buddy passes as well?

Meadows: Yes! All loyalty pass holders (basically any picture pass) with the exception of the 6 and under pass receive the five discount Buddy Passes at $59 each.

I have had a pass at Meadows for about 28 years, and have always come out ahead.

Meadows: That's awesome! Thank you for your loyalty.

will passes be cheaper during the expo?

Meadows: The Portland Ski Fever show is November 15 - 17 this year, which is beyond the November 3 deadline, so your best deal will be to purchase by November 3. We will be at the ski show for those who want to get their pictures taken or pass issued, but the early season prices will have ended.

If purchasing the Midweek+ pass will you still be awarded with the 5 buddy passes? Also, does the Midweek+ pass also work for night skiing?

Meadows: Yes you get the five discount buddy passes, and yes you can use it for night skiing on midweek nights (not Saturdays or Sundays).

Question about the Club Card. So we pay an initial $89 and then get charged additionally $59 per day for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th days? So the 1st and 5th days aren't really free, we are paying $80 for them?

Meadows: Correct. But $89 is a great price for two days! Of course it would make more sense to purchase a 10 time pass or season pass if you're coming up more than five or six times, but for anyone coming up more than once the Club Card is the way to go!

I would like to buy a pass can be use on day and night and how, much

Meadows: Hi Zien. We have season passes on sale now in our store - you can find the link in the upper right hand corner of the navigation bar. We will also be selling day lift passes online once we get closer to the season.

Do you have an up to date, current student rate for the season pass for those enrolled in University?

Meadows: We use age-based discounts - for ages 15 - 22. If you're older than 22 and you attend a college or university you can purchase a student discount card for $10, which offers you a $10 discount each visit on day and night passes.

Does your Package include ski rentals as well? And how long does the pass last?

Meadows: Ski rentals aren't included, but pass holders do receive a 10% discount on rentals, as well as on high performance demo gear. The pass is valid all season - the early season pass pricing ends November 3, so purchase before then to get your best price!

Will meadows offer a group discount if I say get all my brothers to buy a season pass with me at the same time for a discounted season pass like 3 for $400 or $300 or something?

Meadows: Thanks Peter. The best price we offer is the individual price when purchased by November 3. We used to offer group discounts, but felt we should offer our guests the best rates directly (and conveniently for those renewing) instead of making them go out and form a group. Make sure you make the purchase by November 3 for the best price!

Will a grandchild get a free pass if both grandparents buy a season pass?

Meadows: Not a free pass, but kids 6 and under passes are just $25.

I have been a passhoder for the past 15 years. I purchased my 2013 season pass last spring. I notice that now skiers over 75 get to ski free. I am currently 77, can I get a refund on my purchase?

Meadows: Absolutely! The decision to offer the 75 and older free pass was made late this summer. We're happy to refund all our loyal guests.

Is there a 10x pass rate for ages 65-74?

    September 22, 2013

Do you have any special military or veteran rates on both annual and day passes?

    Governement Employee rates?

Meadows: We offer a military discount card, which costs $10 but then offers a $10 discount off an adult day or night lift pass.

How does the "Renew your 2012/2013 pass" work?

Meadows: It works great! Simply go to the renew link and have last year's RFID pass handy. Plug in the media number, renew and voila! You're good to go diretly to the lift!

  16. david..

    September 23, 2013

How does the "Renew your 2012/2013 pass" work?

Meadows: It works great! If you have your RFID picture pass from last season, just go to our renew page
Enter the RFID media number found on the back of the pass. That will verify that the media is attached to your account assuring you renew the correct piece of media (not someone else's pass or a reissued pass from last season). Once you payment is completed, you are GOOD TO GO directly to the lift!
    See you on the slopes!

Yes! It seems like the people determining lift ticket prices at Meadows have finally come to their senses. Thanks for making lift tickets only $74, and for lowering pass prices to the 2011/12 prices! Also, thanks for getting rid of the peak-day pricing scheme. Again, coming to your senses.

Now, don't go getting rid of the free cookies to make up for it! ;)

Meadows: All good things - and lots of free cookies! Spread the word!

Does the night pass get the 5 buddy passes as well?

I have been getting season passes at Meadows since the 1970's. I left last years pass in my locker. Can I call to renew my pass?

Meadows: Yes. Please call our Portland Office at 971-373-8100 between 8:30 and 4:30 Monday - Friday. If you're sure you still have that actual pass, we can renew it over the phone for you.

At one free buddy pass, my last spring pass purchase is pretty much the best financial investment in 2013. And a ski pass is the best investment possible for a person with weekdays off. Plus the joy of September snow. Thanks for reducing day pass prices - I will be bringing some family up.

Meadows: Thanks John. We look forward to your visits this season! See you on the mountain!

does the night passes ($129) available through the end of this year? or is this a sale and when does it end?

Meadows: The Night Pass is $129 and that's the price we expect it to remain at - so it is available even after we open for the season.

I would like to get the 65+ with bus by buying it online. How can I buy this pass?

are the club card tickets shift tickets or open-to-close? thanks!

Meadows: They are open-close. So Mondays and Tuesdays they're good from 9-4. Wednesdays - Sundays (when we have night skiing) they're good from 9-9. If you just want to come up for night skiing - you can save $5 off (just $25) the 3-9 PM night price.

wow....It has been said several times on this comment section, but thank you for lowering your pass/ ticket cost. Leading up to last season I skied Meadows 10-15 times per year. Last year, in protest to the higher cost, I only made it twice. I just couldn't justify spending $89 at Meadows. Thanks for making a much needed change.
    See you this winter.

Meadows: 10 to 15 times, we hope! Thanks for the encouraging post - now let it snow!

If I buy the night pass can I use the 5 buddy passes to buy myself a day ticket if I want to ski a day?

Meadows: Certainly! We would hope that you would be your own best Buddy! You can also bring Buddy's with you during the day (if you choose not to use them all for yourself).

Its great that folks can now get the same deal that we that acted in the spring (499) received, but as Chris stated above, should we not get the same 5 buddy pass reward, at least. Really its seems those that acted super early, should even get a sweeter deal: a couple free beer ticks at the 1st fest? saving skiers make for appreciative skiers, thanks folks :)

Meadows: Thanks Steven! Those who acted early get both! One FREE adult lift day pass to give to a friend (who is accompanying you that day); AND the five discount buddy passes to bring friends up. See you at Brewfest!

    October 12, 2013

I'm 24 but am a student with a current MHCC student card, am I eligible for the student pass price

Meadows: Our season passes are age based - so you wouldn't be eligible for the 15 - 22 year old pass. We do offer a student discount card which costs $10 but then provides $10 off each use on day and night lift passes.

  28. Steven S

    October 14, 2013

    October 16, 2013

if we purchased the passes in the spring do we get a free buddy pass with each pass purchased except the 6 and under? are there blackout dates associated with the buddy pass?

Meadows: Those who renewed last spring receive one free Buddy Pass (except for the six and under) and also receive five discount Buddy Passes as well. There are no restrictive dates on the day you can bring your Buddy.

    October 26, 2013

Can I only purchase the passes online? Is the mountain open for cash purchases before the November 3rd deadline?

Meadows: Yes - you can purchase your pass at the mountain Wednesdays - Sundays. You should plan on coming up Saturday or Sunday, November 2nd or 3rd for the Winter Kick Off in our retail shops! You can get your pass then take it to the retail shops for 20% off your purchase! Here's a link to that event:

Does the Midweek + pass include night skiing from Mon-Fri ?

Also where can I read the details about the Buddy Passes ?

Meadows: The midweek+ pass is valid for midweek night skiing as well - our normal schedule is Wednesday - Sunday evenings, so the midweek+ pass is valid Wednesday - Friday evenings. Here's the scoop on the Buddy Passes - five times during the season you can bring a friend with you and they can get a $59 adult day lift pass. Your buddy needs to be with you at the time of purchase. It's a great deal!

  32. Chelsey

    October 28, 2013

Are there any days that are blocked out, or holiday restrictions with the ten time pass?

Meadows: Nope. It's good any 10 days you want to use it! It is a personal pass (not transferable) but that flexibility provides great value!

    November 4, 2013

what happened to Nov-4th? you've been advertising 2013/14 passes "by Nov-4th" for the last couple weeks. Now its the much for planning...

Meadows: Hey Leroy. We left the early season pricing on our website for a few days as there are always last minute glitches that people have getting their order in at the deadline. No worries - but purchase quickly while those prices are still available!

I renewed my season pass. Small suggestion -- make the RFID media number a little bigger and in bold for the new passes :)

Meadows: Yes - we can see that would help you see. We may not have control of that thought, the cards are propitiatory to the SkiData system so we have to go with their standards.
