    Entertainment: The Garcia Birthday Band

Garcia Birthday Band at Mt. Hood MeadowsThe Garcia Birthday Band is an amalgam of veteran players from Portland's jamband scene doing fine interpretations of classics from the vast repertoire of Jerry Garcia's multiple musical endeavors. The GBB isn't a tribute band: this combo plays fast and loose with the tunes, taking a jazz-like approach to improv and psychedelic tomfoolery.
