    Avalanche Dogs Fundraiser

    Avy Dog FundraiserThe Mt. Hood Meadows avalanche dogs will be having their annual fundraiser Thursday, December 5th, at Double Mountain Brewery in Hood River. The night will start off around 5:30 PM, and the raffle will begin at 7 PM. We'll have a lot of amazing products in the raffle this year - including a Meadows season pass and day passes, a pair of skis donated by Nimbus and Eric Pollard, a coat and pants from Air Blaster, an Oakley shell jacket with Oakley pants, a harness, trainer kite and backpack, and much more. During and after the raffle, the Green Neck DareDevils will be playing some great music. Double Mountain will also be donating a part of the evening's proceeds to the cause!

    Come on down to Double Mountain tomorrow, get some raffle tickets, and support our avalanche dogs!

    Winter BrewFest

    Winter BrewFestThe Winter Brew Fest is presented by The Brew 105.9 and The Oregonian, and you can taste some of the NW's best microbrews! Everybody's Brewing, Double Mountain, Laurelwood, Widmer and Full Sail will be sampling their microbrews, and Mt. Hood Winery, Hood River Ciderworks and Naked Winery will be sampling as well. It's 21 and over, and the $12 entry includes a glass mug and 4 chits. Extra script can be purchased at $1 per 3oz sample. World's Finest will also be performing from 1-5 PM.

    There will a bus leaving at 10 AM from the Hood River News parking lot, and departing Mt. Hood Meadows at 5 PM. There are a limited number of spots available on a first come, first served basis. Guests can board the bus as early as 9:30 AM, The round-trip cost is $10, and it's a great option if you're looking for safe transportation to BrewFest!

    Riglet Appearance at Nyberg Woods

    We'll be at the Nyberg Woods Shopping Center in Tualatin on Saturday, December 14th from 12-2 PM. Our instructors will be teaching 3-6 year olds how to snowboard, using the Burton Riglet System! It's a great opportunity to get some holiday shopping done, while giving your kiddos a fun break of their own. Get information about our Youth Kids Camps and consecutive week program sessions.     Live Entertainment: Acoustic Minds

    Acoustic Minds at Mt. Hood MeadowsPortland twin sirens Amanda and Jenni Price, known together as Acoustic Minds, specialize in their own blend of soul and New Millennium dance pop. Their work has two completely different, though not necessarily opposing sides: a quiet, acoustic side rife with gorgeous blues and soul influences coupling with a loud, club-banging side that is rich in synths and lyrics about the type of “Love at First Sight” that can happen only on the dance floor.

    Mountain View High School Fundraiser

    The Mountain View High School Band is showing Warren Miller's latest film, "Ticket To Ride," on Saturday, December 14th at 7 PM. Tickets are $15 and the money goes towards the MVHS band. The doors open at 6 PM, and there will also be a silent auction.

    Ticket to Ride gives film-goers access to the most sought-after destinations including the Alaskan Tordrillos, Iceland’s Troll Peninsula, fjords of Greenland and the expansive Big Sky country of Montana, to name a few. The film showcases world-class athletes such as Sean Pettit, Ted Ligety, Seth Westcott and Jess McMillian, all leaving tracks beneath, and above, the world’s wildest terrain.

    Meadows Winter Demo Day

    NW Demo TourThe Meadows Winter Demo Day goes from 9 AM - 1 PM, and will continue until 2 PM if there's still equipment available! Registration begins at 8:30 AM. There are no boot demos.

    Confirmed Vendors: Volkl, Rossignol, Atomic, Blizzard, Dynastar, Fischer, Line, K2, Ramp, ON3P, Salomon, Salomon Snowboarding, LibTech, Gnu, Roxy and more!

    Guest Requirements: Valid credit card or debit card and valid photo ID (Meadows season pass accepted). Parent signature is required for participants 18 years and younger.
     
    Hours of Operation: Pre-registration will open a couple days before in the High Performance Center! Simply visit the HPC and ask one of our friendly techs for assistance. Guests may also register for the demo on the morning of the event in the HPC from 7:30-8:30 AM. Registration ends at 2 PM, and the last demo goes out at 2 PM. The event ends at 3 PM with a drawing at 3:30 PM for demo participants.

    Come out to demo all the manufacturers, all day, for free!

    Steeps Clinic

    Steeps ClinicAvailable to advanced and expert skiers and riders. These clinics are designed to improve your ability to ski steep ungroomed terrain. We will work on maintaining rhythm and flow through all terrain and conditions while exploring some of the best known and unknown runs at the resort. Groups will be divided based on skiing / riding ability and desired terrain. This clinic is taught by our most certified and strongest skiing / riding pros. $104 Clinic Only or $159 W/Lift.     3-Day Holiday Kids Camps at Mt. Hood MeadowsOur 3-day camps are offered over Christmas Break and Spring Break, and provide kids with a great way to play on the snow! We provide alpine lessons for students ages 4 – 12, and snowboard lessons for students ages 7 – 12. Kids will be put in the same group with the same instructor for three consecutive days providing an excellent opportunity to make friends and bond with the instructor. You’ll be amazed at the progress your child can make skiing or riding 3 straight days! More details here.

    ReRack Rail Jam Series

    Meadows After Dark Rail Jam SeriesThe ReRack Rail Jam Series kicks off Saturday, December 21st! We'll have awesome prizes from our sponsors - ReRack, Blackstrap, Windell's, USASA, Monster, Yakima, Outer Limits Sports and the High Performance Center. The rail jam will take place in Shipyard from 3 - 8 PM. Helmets are required and inverted aerials disqualify competitors.

    Registration for the Meadows After Dark Rail Jams is from 12-2 PM across from Concierge. (Competitors will not be able to register after 2 PM). The Rider's Meeting starts at 3 PM in Shipyard.

    The Rail Jam Series is on December 21st, January 18th, February 8th and March 8th. Come hang out! It'll be fun.

    Sammy Carlson at Mt. Hood MeadowsProfessional skier, Sammy Carlson will be at Mt. Hood Meadows this Friday, December 27th from 10 AM - 12 PM! He's a five-time Winter X-Games Slopestyle medalist. He's from Hood River and he grew up riding at Meadows! You can meet Sammy at 10 AM on the South Lodge Deck, and then head up to the hill, hit the parks and take a few runs with him. We're excited to have him back this Friday. Come on up and share the slopes with this guy!

    New Year's Eve

    Brrring In The New YearBrrring in the New Year at Mt. Hood Meadows presented by Widmer Brothers Brewing. Meadows After Dark gets a little more brilliant under bursts of fireworks! New Year's Eve buses depart around 3 PM from Portland (or the surrounding area), with lift ticket, buffet dinner and party packages.

    A scrumptious dinner buffet is served and you can party live music from Keegan Smith & The Fam, from 8 to midnight (21 and over - advance purchase recommended). Fireworks burst at 10:15 PM. At midnight we'll drop balloons and have a champagne toast to the New Year!

    Keegan Smith & The Fam at Mt. Hood MeadowsA super fun, high energy Portland based band.  The sound spectrum ranges from blues to neo-soul, hip-hop to acoustic roots, and reggae to funk. They won the Best Live Performance from the 2011 Portland Music Awards. There will be a DJ starting the night off at 8 PM, and then playing during breaks.
