At Mt. Hood Meadows our goal is to have the most well-trained and
guest focused instructor staff on the West coast. Our Snow Sports Services Director Chris
Kastner is a veteran of the PSIA National Alpine team and 5 of our instructors are current members of the PSIA-NW Technical Team, by far more than any other Ski & Snowboard School in the Northwest. Meadows instructors who are current team members include Tyler Barnes, Rick Lyons, John May, Kate Morrell and Assistant Ski & Snowboard School Director, Jeremy Riss.
In addition, we have many PSIA/AASI (Professional Ski Instructors of America / American Association of Snowboard Instructors) Examiners, Clinicians, and fully certified instructors on our staff, all of whom are excited for the opportunity to ski or ride with you.
We keep our lessons student centered, focusing on your goals and working as partners to help you achieve those goals. Our supervisors aid the learning process by keeping class sizes small, allowing instructors to give personal attention to each student. We offer a variety of products, including privates, group lessons, lift/lesson/rental packages and weekly coaching sessions to best serve the different needs of our guests.
Whether you're taking a first-time adventure lesson in the Fun Zone, or you're taking a Steeps Clinic on a double black diamond run, our staff will make this sport fun for you!
