Applicants must be at lease 18 years of age and have a minimum of one season of patrolling experience. Must be able to work as an individual as well as part of a team and have the ability to remain calm under stressful situations. Must be able to demonstrate a high level of skiing ability and enjoy spending large amounts of time outdoors in inclement weather. Applicants must be able to lift at least 70 pounds. Must possess at minimum current Outdoor Emergency Care certification and CPR for Healthcare Provider; current Oregon EMT a plus. Wage DOE Patrolling is a full time seasonal position and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Hill set-up and hazard evaluation, avalanche control, stabilization and transportation of injured parties, enforcement of skier/rider responsibility and hill safety protocols, proper documentation, guest service and environmental stewardship.
