Mt. Hood Meadows is seeking a highly organized, detail oriented person for the position of Payroll Specialist. This position is resposible for processing company payroll on a bi-weekly basis using ADP and Kronos, preparing journal entries and accruals, performing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end closings, as well as a variety of other accounting duties. Prior experience with ADP, Kronos, Microsoft Office, and an understanding of payroll law are required. This is a full-time, year-round position with an attractive benefits package. This position is responsible for Cash Receipts and Fixed Assets during the busy winter season, and Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable during the off-season. Additionally, this person will process all credit card back requests, prepare journal entries and accruals, perform account reconciliations, assist with month-end closings, as well as a variety of other accounting functions. Meadows is seeking an experienced mechanic to join our Vehicle Maintenance Team. Duties include working with snowcats, off-highway vehicles, busses and trucks, as well as a variety of other machines. Knowledge of hydraulics and electronics vital. Experience with a wide assortment of types of machines a plus. CDL class B a plus. Year-round, full-time position. Mt. Hood Meadows is now accepting resumes for our Professional Ski Patrol for the 2008-2009 season. Applicants must be at lease 18 years of age and have a minimum of one season of patrolling experience. Must be able to work as an individual as well as part of a team and have the ability to remain calm under stressful situations. Must be able to demonstrate a high level of skiing ability and enjoy spending large amounts of time outdoors in inclement weather. Applicants must be able to lift at least 70 pounds. Must possess at minimum current Outdoor Emergency Care certification and CPR for Healthcare Provider; current Oregon EMT a plus. Wage DOE
Patrolling is a full time seasonal position and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Hill set-up and hazard evaluation, avalanche control, stabilization and transportation of injured parties, enforcement of skier/rider responsibility and hill safety protocols, proper documentation, guest service and environmental stewardship.
