  • General Comments: TGIF! Friday is off to a great start, with fresh snow on the ground, and sunshine streaming down. Last night's snowfall laid down very nicely, making for quality turns all over the mountain. Thanks to some morning sunshine, storm recovery went quickly, and we have the upper mountain for your shredding pleasure, including Superbowl (beacon, shovel, probe, and partner required to hike). Come on up for Fresh Tracks Friday!

Plans for the weekend? Tomorrow is Mazotfest, a race for the avalanche puppies. Also tomorrow, we have steeps clinics. On Sunday, we have Telemark clinics. Tele is a tricky sport. A few pointers will take you a long way, so sign up now and free your heels from your mind. Speaking of signups, Pond Skim registration is open. Have a great day!

  • Road Conditions: Icy and slushy and snowy. Chains Required. Traction tires allowed in place of chains on vehicles under 10,000 GVW and not towing. Check Tripcheck for updates. Studded tire removal deadline was 3/31.
