  • Surface Conditions: Wow. It's fun out there. Packed powder and corn snow both on and off the groom with some shallow powder stashes off-piste. Watch for unmarked obstacles.
  • General Comments: There are multiple holidays happening down in the "real world" today, and up here on Hood, it's a holiday too. We're calling it Miracle Sunday. 2" of snow fell last night. That doesn't sound like much, does it? But somehow it resurrected the hill, turning hard-frozen granular snow into mid-season quality packed powder corduroy. And off the groom? We swear someone snuck some leavening in last night's snow, despite the prohibition against leavening agents during this week of the year. Light and fluffy like Wonder Bread and certainly 100% fun to shred. Sure, the packed pow is warming up in the afternoon sun, and the density of the off-piste powder is increasing. But wow. It's fun up here today, and there's still plenty of life left in it. Come get yourself some. And if the sunshine has you thinking of this summer and next ski season, visit our store where '14-'15 passes are on sale, with added incentives to purchase now. Happy holidays. Have a wonderful day!
  • Road Conditions: Snowy and icy. Carry chains or traction tires. Check Tripcheck for updates.
