Hours Of Operation

Mt. Hood Meadows is open for the 2012/13 season, and is scheduled to operate daily through April 28 with lifts scheduled each day at 9 AM. Scheduled lifts can vary with business levels particularly later in the season. Meadows may reduce operations midweek in April, following Washington spring break, depending on daily attendance. This could affect Hood River Express, Heather and Shooting Star Express, which would affect terrain park operations in Forest Park and Park Place, as well as gated access terrain such as Heather Canyon, Private Reserve and S&R Cliffs. While we would prefer to operate all lifts every day through the entire season, the decision to operate lifts and terrain on the mountain is dependent on favorable visitation to justify continued operations.

RFID Technology

RFID stands for Radio Frequency IDentification - a wireless chip is embedded into your pass or card media. At each of our lifts, we've installed access gates, which are triggered by your valid media. You wear your card inside your jacket, or on an arm band preferably on the upper left side of your body. You no longer have to present your lift ticket or season pass for scanning every time you board the lift! Just follow these simple rules for the best experience:

  • Make sure you have your valid pass or card (as always, the media is not transferable).
  • Place the media on the upper left hand portion of your body - in your jacket or on an arm band.
  • Carry only one media at a time - multiple signals can create misreads at the gate.
  • Do not place your media next to a cell phone or other electronic device.

Reload or Recycle?

Did you know that day passes are being collected for reuse? If you purchase an adult pass, you have the option of reloading your pass online for use again this season, and you can even save $5 off a day lift pass! However, if you're not planning on reusing your pass, you can support our Sustainability initiatives and place your pass in one of the three drop boxes located at the Concierge desk, Hood River Meadows lodge (inside), and the breezeway (Main lodge, stairwell area between North and South lodges). Thanks for helping us reuse, reduce and recycle!
