Spring Nordic Season - June 1st, 2nd, 8th & 9th
Mt. Hood Meadows will offer a special 3.5 km track set in the base area, open Saturday and Sunday during the first two weekends of June. That's June 1st, 2nd, 8th and 9th from 7 AM - 2 PM, and there's a $10 daily track fee. This is a great opportunity to cut down on the time off from skiing, which is a huge benefit in terms of muscle memory and ongoing improvement of skiing technique! (Be sure to park in front of the main lodge, as the track is in the base area!)
Sam Cordell (former U.S. Biathlon team member) will be offering Junior Nordic Skate Ski Clinics on June 1st and 8th, and Senior/Master Nordic Skate Ski Clinics on June 2nd & 9th. The cost for each clinic is $20 (plus the daily track fee), and the clinics are from 8-9:30 AM. Email Sam Cordell, at Sam.Cordell@skihood.com, to register for the Nordic Skate Ski Clinics. Madshus is going to have a great selection of gear to try, on June 1st and 2nd! The purpose of the Madshus Demo is to give everyone a chance to make a lap or two on the latest equipment from Madshus, so you'll need your own equipment as well. The track fee, liability release, and your ID and credit card are required to demo.

The Mt. Hood Meadows Nordic Center is open daily, from 9 AM - 4 PM, through Sunday, April 7th.
Our Nordic Center offers up to 15 kilometers of groomed and set track through beautiful wooded trails and meadows. We have both skating and traditional striding lanes, but there is no snow shoeing at the Nordic Center. The Nordic Center is located at the Hood River Meadows parking lot, 1 mile north of the main entrance to Meadows on Highway 35.
The Nordic Center is a modular building at the east end of the Hood River Meadows parking lot (not the Hood River Meadows lodge – skier services building found near the bottom of the Hood River Express). The Nordic Center is where you purchase your track fee, as well as rent equipment or arrange for cross country lessons.

Mt. Hood Nordic Race Series
December 22nd - 3k for under 13, 6k for high school, 9k for adults
January 5th - 15k Skate Results
January 19th - Pursuit 10k Skate 10k Classic
February 23rd - 20k Skate
Races start at 11 AM with registration from 9-10:30 AM. Entry fee is $20 per race. Competitor track fee is $12.
Samuel Cordell's Skate Technique Clinics
Clinics are taught by Sam Cordell, former U.S. Biathalon Team Member. Clinics are from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM, and will cover the fundamentals of efficient skate skiing. The clinics are on January 12th and February 16th, and each clinic is limited to 25 participants. Cost is $25 (does not include track fee), and clinics meet at the Nordic Center.
