Mt Hood Meadows is seeking an energetic, organized, outgoing individual for the position of Lift Operations Dispatcher. Duties will include monitoring radio and telephone communications, maintaining a daily operational log, coordinating routine maintenance and emergency situations with multiple departments, as well as general clerical duties. Meet, greet and ticket one time and multi-week groups as they arrive at the ski resort. You'll work closely with group organizers as they come to you to ticket the add on and walk on members of their groups. Position is at the ski resort but reports directly to Sales Manager, and works closely the Guest Services staff. Position will interact with all members of the sales and marketing staff, as well as key mountain staff. Candidate must have a good understanding of youth programs, midweek programs and how they work. Prior experience with seasonal hospitality or recreation programs is a plus. Good time management and organizational skills are necessary to balance the needs of the Group organizers and the Sales Office. Position requires excellent guest service and phone skills. Strong conflict resolution skills are desired. Prospecting is a key element of this position and the candidate will require experience and skills in the various phases of prospecting to uncover new opportunities. Position requires work at the ski area both on weekdays, weekend days and some evenings. Occasionally the position will require working at the CSO.
