A late winter storm is welcoming spring to Mt. Hood Meadows. The storm slowly rolled in over the weekend, and really hit the mountain today, dumping more than half a foot of snow on the upper mountain. The storm is expected to continue through the night potentially dropping a foot or more at Meadows.
Powder starved skiers and snowboarders hit the mountain today, and were rewarded with some deep powder stashes in Two Bowl and other steep runs that were open. With the freezing level dropping and the storm continuing - Tuesday could be the best powder day of the season.
Meadows is open daily from 9 AM - 4 PM and the storm is building not only the snowpack, but confidence that the resort will be able to continue daily operations into April.
