Mt. Hood Meadows Surpasses the Century Mark in Seasonal Snowfall and Extends Hours for Night Operations Starting Friday

Mt. Hood Meadows after a 54" December snow stormMt. Hood Meadows has received more than 100 inches of snow so far this early season which is about fifteen percent above average and already half the amount received the entire season last year. With more than four feet of snow in the base area Meadows has some of the best conditions in the country, and another major storm is forecast this week. The ski area is open daily for the season and will be adding night operations beginning Friday.

Meadows is open daily with lifts scheduled from 9 AM - 4 PM. Starting Friday the lift schedule will be extended to 9 PM Wednesday through Sunday evenings. 

Meadows is open every day for the rest of the season, including the holiday time frame and that includes Christmas Eve Day (December 24 lifts scheduled 9 AM - 4 PM) and Christmas day (December 25 lifts scheduled 9 AM - 9 PM). Lifts will run from 9 AM - 9 PM from December 26 - January 3 for the holidays. New Year’s Eve lifts are scheduled to run until after midnight. 

Twilight Kids Club will be offered every evening from December 26 - January 3. The club is for ages 4 to 12 and includes a two hour lesson, supervision from 3:30 – 7:30 PM and dinner. An online special with lift ticket is just $72 and that includes a night (3 – 9 PM) lift ticket for mom or dad ($32 value).

The Nordic Center is open from 9 - 4 Thursdays through Mondays. During the holidays it will be open daily from December 24 through January 3.

Park and Ride holiday and weekend shuttles are scheduled every day from December 19 through January 3, except for Christmas Day. Purchase a round trip shuttle from Portland with a lift ticket for just $79 for adults ($59 for ages 7 - 14 or 65 and older). The popular service has three Portland metro pick up locations arriving at the ski area around 9 AM.
