Mt. Baker Ticket Exchange Great Benefit

Categories: Guest Stories Inside Meadows

Just wanted to drop you a note saying what a great benefit the Mt Baker lift ticket exchange program is for Mt Hood Meadows season pass holders! A group of four of us spent last midweek up at Mt Baker, and we were all were impressed with the experience. It was as simple as showing our Meadows season pass and photo ID at a ticket window, and they gave us a day ticket. Pretty sweet!

Would love to see this program expanded to other ski resorts.

Again, a great "value added" benefit to Meadows pass holders!

Kevin is a Great Instructor

Categories: Guest Stories

A huge thank you to my ski instructor, Kevin ( I think his last name started with a H) for making my first downhill ski experience a great one today. His enthusiasm & obvious passion for his sport were obvious and contagious. The entire group of beginners felt good about even tiny amounts of progress with his encouragement. He made it a really fun experience. I will be back for more downhill for sure. Give Kevin a raise!

I might add that my two sons (ages 5 and 11) took snow boarding lessons while I took my ski lesson and they also had a very good experience as well as a lot of fun. We were really impressed with the level of one-on-one attention that the kids received. I do not know the name of their instructors or otherwise would let you know.

We specifically chose Mt Hood Meadows as a place to take lessons as we had asked around and been told that it was the best place to give downhill and snow boarding a go. I have been cross country skiing for 20+ years and was glad to have the chance to give another snow sport a try. We plan to return to Meadows!

Thanks Again!!!

Michelle and Carver Great Kids Teachers

Categories: Guest Stories

Our sons both had lessons on  Sunday, January 24th.  My older son was taking snowboarding with Michelle and my younger son was skiing with Carver.  Both teachers were excellent.  I'd especially like to thank Carver for his patience with our 5 year old, Soren.  Carver was able to help Soren make a lot of progress! Carver also ended up rescuing our family after our car broke down in the parking lot.  He connected us with a family friend so that we could get home to Portland when our car was towed.  Thanks also to the concierge desk staff that kept our suitcase and gear for us during the day.
