Mt. Hood Meadows introduces a whole new season pass concept this year in the Southside Pass. The pass provides access to the popular trails on the south side of the resort - served by Vista Express, Daisy, Easy Rider, Buttercup, the new Shipyard rope tow and the Ballroom Carpet. Moving a half-million cubic yards of debris for safety work puts large trucks on small roads on Mt. Hood. The U.S. 26 Mount Hood Safety Project will divert a lot of big trucks through Zig Zag on Lolo Pass Road and other small rural roads that aren't used to seeing heavy truck traffic. A lot of our guests visit the mountain for summer recreating as much as they do in the winter. So we wanted to pass along this safety messaging from ODOT.

A field of 39 ranging in age from 4 to 71 took on the inaugural Uphill Challenge. The course record was set by Bernard Seeger - 10 minutes and 49 seconds. Rachel Lynn had the fastest woman's time (and third overall) at 13 minutes and 16 seconds.

Mt. Hood Meadows Resort is giving a taste of skiing and snowboarding in mid summer on the Winteractive tour. The tour presents first time ski and snowboard techniques and tricks to young people using specially made Burton snowboard equipment and other teaching tools focusing on balance, core strength and agility. Check out the tour schedule to attend an event near you. Rossignol, Columbia Sportswear, the Portland Winterhawks andBurton Snowboards are tour partners.
