Mt. Hood Meadows introduces a whole new season pass concept this year in the Southside Pass. The pass provides access to the popular trails on the south side of the resort - served by Vista Express, Daisy, Easy Rider, Buttercup, the new Shipyard rope tow and the Ballroom Carpet. At just $289 the Southside Pass represents an amazing deal accessing some of the most guest preferred terrain. The Vista Express has been one of Meadows most popular high speed quads serving a variety of playful trails but also offering the incredible panoramic views the lift was named for. Vista trails conveniently flow into the Easy Rider and Daisy trail systems, which have a concentration of Meadows Parks. The Southside Pass provides freestylers an exceptional freestyle experience at an incredible value.
Add Unlimited Rentals and 3 Lessons for just $10 More!
The Southside Pass will also be popular among those on a beginner to intermediate learning curve. For just $10 more, a Southside Passholder (age 13 and older) will receive unlimited equipment rentals and can take three 2 hour group lessons. This package will be especially attractive to lower level or first timers, according to Ski and Snowboard School Director Chris Kastner, who note, "Most of the beginners we teach are ready to move beyond the Buttercup lift by their second day in a lesson. This Southside Pass allows them to progress at their own rate, opening up intermediate and even more advanced terrain. We expect to see tremendous progression and advancement thanks to this innovative product." The Southside Pass package for ages 4 - 12 that includes unlimited equipment rentals and three lessons is $349. The additional price is due to the guaranteed smaller class size for our younger guests.
The innovative design of the Southside Pass is made possible by the RFID gate technology Meadows installed three seasons ago. The pass carries the access to those specific lifts, so passholders can easily and conveniently board the lifts included in the package.
