The second annual Winter Kick off will be presented Saturday and Sunday November 1 and 2 at Mt. Hood Meadows. The event features the greatest selection of new ski and snowboard equipment of the season, outerwear, apparel and accessories at the resort's sport shops, the High Performance Center and Outer Limits Sports. Manufacturers reps will be on hand to talk about the innovations and the latest technological advances in this year's gear.
Resort Director of Public Relations Dave Tragethon says the Kick Off presents a unique opportunity to get equipped for the season. "Our retail professionals have stocked our stores with gear, apparel and performance wear that is ideal for the weather and snow conditions here at Meadows. The selection is at it's greatest and with product reps on hand those attending will find the perfect set up for their season. Our shops excel at providing a customized experience and outfitting guests perfectly for their season. At no time in the season will there be greater selection of new gear and expertise assembled in one location."
HPC techs and MasterFit-certified boot fitters will be available to assess existing equipment and recommend ways to improve performance, comfort and fit. All new equipment purchased is covered under the High Performance Center's, 30-day price protections policy, receives the lifetime HPC guarantee and 30 day test ride.
Hours for the Kick Off are Saturday, November 1 from 11 AM- 6 PM and Sunday, November 2 from 11 AM - 4 PM. The Higher Grounds Cafe will be open for espresso and coffee drinks, smoothies, salads, sandwiches and snacks. Cocktail service will be available in the Alpenstube from 11 AM - 4 PM each day.
Saturday November 1st Dinner with CEO, Matthew Drake
A special Kick Off dinner will be presented Saturday, November 1. Resort CEO, Matthew Drake, will be attending the dinner and giving a presentation on this season's improvements at Meadows, providing some unique insight into resort planning. Other resort management will be on hand to provide first-hand knowledge of resort operations and listen to guests thoughts and ideas
The Sneak Preview Dinner presented by Executive Chef David Mahler is $25 and includes appetizers, salad, entree, desert, MHM Private Label wines, and gratuity. Cocktail hour starts at 5:30 PM and dinner is at 6:30 PM. Play the video to see what Chef Dave is preparing for the dinner.
