With a foot of new snow and the mighty efforts of our mountain grooming crew, Meadows will present a season preview event this weekend. There’ll be a Pre-season Jib Party both days for your first chance to ride rails this season, and the Buttercup lift will run from 11 - 4 Saturday and Sunday.
Resort Executive Director of Public Relations Dave Tragethon says the emphasis will be on fun and getting a few first runs in. "The preseason jib park will have six rails in it, enough for freestylers to have fun and get creative. Buttercup will run to provide access to the park, and on very limited pathways. We expect our passholders and other enthusiasts will come up for a few early season runs."
The Buttercup lift will be $15 for non-passholders. The Higher Grounds cafe and the Alpenstube Bar will be open and season passes will be fulfilled. Season passes take a big jump in price after Sunday. They can be purchased at the resort this weekend, at the Portland Ski Show at the Expo Center or online at SkiHood.com.
