Your snow groomers are superstars!! I grew up skiing in the northeast just as snow making was in its infancy. I know what real ice is. Solid sheets of blue ice in the high traffic areas and main runs with sparse narrow ski-able areas on the fringes.
I skied yesterday Wed 2/25. What your guys do is nothing short of miraculous to maintain carvable slopes all over the mountain despite lack of new snow, rain and freeze thaw conditions for so long. I rotated between Mt Hood Express, Shooting Star and Cascade and found not just respectable but down right good quality frozen granular and packed groomed corduroy all over the mountain depending on the time of day and sun exposure. Thanks for maintaining the most consistently great and variable skiing terrain anywhere. I'm so glad I didn't wait for the new snow because yesterday was an awesome day of long cruising runs. I'll be back Friday and Saturday to ride the fresh snow.
I've been skiing Meadows for 17 years, a season pass holder for about 10 years and season locker renter for 2 years. Your snow farmers are fantastic.
