Mt. Hood Meadows is offering a “Great Conditions Guarantee” special this week. A special discounted $49 lift ticket can be purchased online through the resort website, good for this Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. The special ticket gives the purchaser an hour from their first lift ride to take runs. If they are not satisfied with the conditions, they can come back another midweek day and use that very same ticket for a full day of riding.
Resort spokesman Dave Tragethon says, “We’re very proud of the conditions we have at the resort right now. The return to normal winter temperatures has allowed us to make snow almost round the clock for several days. Our innovative snow harvesting and farming techniques have fortified the snowpack. We’re so sure our guests will enjoy the groomed conditions that we’re making this guarantee.”
Tragethon says with Meadows high speed quads and no midweek lift lines, an hour trial should give guests 2 or 3 lift rides, plenty of time to get around the mountain and assess conditions. “$49 is an awesome deal for a great day on the mountain. And if you’re not happy, just stop riding the lifts and plan on coming back another midweek day.”
Meadows continues daily operations with a natural snowpack of 30 inches at the base lodge and 60 inches or more at higher elevations. That is expected to change later this week when a winter storm is forecasted to bring a foot or more of snow to Mt. Hood.
