Open Daily for the Holiday AND the Rest of the Season

Categories: Guest Connection Media Center Meadows Parks Weather Blog

New snow at Mt. Hood MeadowsMeadows reaffirms daily operations are continuing through the season. We’ve received phone calls and emails from many who have heard a rumor that Meadows is closing this weekend.

So we thought we’d clarify with this “Rumor”. Meadows will continue daily operations per our original schedule with an extension into May weekends if conditions allow, as we have the last several seasons.

This week’s storm dumped a substantial amount of snow at Meadows - providing great coverage, supplemented by our snow harvesting efforts. This video shot Tuesday shows how good the skiing and snowboarding is going into the holiday weekend. We have no intention of closing the ski area - we have ample snowpack, especially on the upper mountain, to continue daily operations.

This holiday weekend Meadows will operate from 9 AM - 9 PM including President’s Monday, In fact, the ski area is offering a special $20 lift ticket online for 3 - 9 PM Monday evening.

The weather for the weekend is stunning! We expect blue skies and sunshine, presenting ideal spring-like conditions. Our grooming fleet will be fully engaged in creating the best surface possible for holiday revelers. Our adult and children's ski school is staffed up for everyone wanting to learn how to ski and snowboard this weekend. We'll have the Riglet Park for the little ones to take their first turns, and Meadows Parks will be going off bigtime. And our retail shops are celebrating with a President's Holiday sale, with up to 30% off apparel and hardgoods this weekend!

With such nice weather we will have the BBQ going on the sundeck so you can soak up the vitamin D in the sunshine. The Mazot will also be open offering a great place to take a break and soak in the beauty of Oregon.
