On the first sunny day since it was constructed in partnership with Snow Park Technologies, the Cascade Spring Park opened to rave reviews by freestylers. Under blue skies and for the most part calm winds, the action was on the Park's jump section.
The Park had partial openings last week, featuring the rail and rhythm sections, but today the jumps were the talk of the park. But a winter storm blasted Meadows earlier this week dropping and drifting snow several feet deep. Our grooming crews dug out the features and shaped them beautifully for today's sunny opening.
Pierce Hodges put together a quick panoramic time lapse in the jump section. He'll have a full edit soon!

Big Tim Douglas of MtHoodRiders.com brought his crew over to film in the park. Pro Dan Brisse was spotted in the park, and Grant Myrdal took some great photos of park riders. With a launch like this, Spring Park is a hit!
Spring Park will be open whenever the Cascade Express can operate. Mt. Hood Meadows intends to operate on our original schedule – daily through April 12 and then weekends, if weather and conditions allow. While we’re making every effort through our snow harvesting and farming techniques, we will most likely need additional snow to maintain this schedule. We are hopeful that April will bring some snow fall so we can continue operations. Updates or changes to the schedule will be made on our conditions page.
