Mt. Hood Meadows Announces Spring Break Operational Plans

Categories: Guest Connection Media Center Meadows Parks Transportation

Mt. Hood Meadows will be ready for Spring Break with lift operations scheduled from 9 AM - 4 PM daily. And as Spring is arriving, the weather is turning wintery, with snow forecast for the first weekend of Oregon Spring Break. The resort’s extensive snow harvesting program has fortified the base area snowpack, providing access to the high speed quads serving the upper mountain.

Even with the relatively low snowfall this season, the resort has a 25 inch snow depth at the base area, that has been fortified though snow harvesting for consistency. The coverage and depth provides an excellent experience for first timers and families bringing the kids up for Spring Break fun on the Ballroom Carpet conveyer and Buttercup lift. The resort’s adult and children’s ski and snowboard school will be fully operational for the holiday.

At mid mountain and above the resort has six feet or more of snow depth, enough to build a half-mile long Spring Park under the Cascade Express lift. The resort expects to operate it’s Cascade, Shooting Star and Mt. Hood Express high speed quads for access to the higher terrain, where coverage has been good all season long.

The lift ticket price will be discounted to $59 for adults, $39 for kids 7 - 14 and $10 for kids 6 and under. Spring Passes are on sale for $139 for those planning to spend more time for the holiday at Meadows. There’s also a special online lift ticket for adults for just $49 available through the resort website, and companion kids (age 7 - 14) tickets can be purchased for just $19. Learn to ski and snowboard lesson packages are also available online at discounts.
