Meadows Website Wins Two Horizon Interactive Awards

Meadows wins two Horizon Interactive AwardsLast summer we worked closely with Connective DX (formerly iSite Design) to redesign the SkiHood.com website. The stated goals were to create a vibrant and engaging digital experience on all devices it is viewed upon. With over half the visits now being viewed on mobile phones and tablets, the new site demanded responsive design and an experience equally as enjoyable on these smaller screens.

Connective DX entered our redesigned site in the Horizon Interactive Awards, a competition that recognizes, promotes and awards the best websites, videos, online advertising, print media, and mobile applications. With more than 1200 entries, the SkiHood.com site won two Horizon Interactive Awards: a Silver in the responsive/mobile design category and a Bronze in the travel and tourism category.

Connective DX President Paul Williams proudly recognized the honor, saying, "Mt. Hood Meadows partnered with Connective DX to create a strategic redesign of the website and put in place a content management system for the site. The redesigned site is now fully responsive on all devices. The Horizon Interactive Awards recognize excellence in interactive media production and have become one of the most prestigious awards in the field of interactive and creative media."

Another Connective DX client BMC software also received two Horizon Interactive Awards, bronzes in the B2B and responsive design categories.

Now in its 13th season the Horizon Interactive Awards received more than 1,200 entries from around the world, including nearly all 50 states and 27 countries. All entries are eligible to win a Gold, Silver or Bronze award and are judged by a volunteer panel of industry professionals from diverse multi-media, graphic design, advertising and marketing backgrounds. Each entry is judged on five criteria:

  • Creativity and originality
  • Overall design / appearance / user experience
  • Communication of message
  • Technical merit
  • Effectiveness of solution
