- Mt. Hood Meadows will operate scenic chairlift ride and hiking experience weekends in August
- August weekends filled with events and a Sunday singer/songwriter series
MT. HOOD, OR (Immediate Release) – Mt. Hood Meadows will expand the summer operational schedule started last year to 10 days this August. The resort is scheduling it’s Stadium lift for scenic chairlift rides Saturdays and Sundays in August.
Meadows launched the first time ever summer scenic chairlift operation last August, operating just two days. But that was enough to show the potential according to Chief Operating Officer Jake Bolland. “Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the scenic chairlift ride, with expansive views of the Mt. Hood National Forest and magnificent Mt. Hood. With wildflowers in bloom, Meadows offers spectacular hiking in August, accessed by the chairlift. We look forward to expanding the schedule to 10 weekend days this August.”
In addition to the scenic chairlift (scheduled from 11 AM – 3 PM) and hiking, Meadows will offer a dining experience at the Sun Deck BBQ, serving kielbasa sausages, hot dogs, tofu sausages, wine, Hopworks Urban Brewery beer and other refreshments.
