Mt. Hood Meadows weekend scenic chairlift rides continues Saturdays and Sundays through August, and the weekend events schedule keeps getting better and better.
Paint the Mountain in the Nude, Saturday August 15
Mt. Hood Meadows has partnered with Paint Nite and Naked Winery to bring you an afternoon of wine and canvas painting! The mountain has removed her snowy dress to allow our fully clothed artists to paint her. Enjoy a glass of wine provided by Naked Winery and the friendly course instructor from Paint Nite will guide artists through a canvas painting of Mt. Hood. Canvas, brushes and paint are provided. A great activity for friends to share the beauty of the mountain and unleash your inner Picasso. The entire session including all the supplies and guidance is $45 (ages 21 and older only).

2nd Annual Uphill Challenge, Saturday August 22
The 2nd Annual Mt. Hood Meadows Uphill Challenge will be run Saturday, August 22. The 1.2 mile course starts at the resort’s main parking lot and will finish at the top of the Stadium chairlift – a 621 foot elevation gain. The course will follow a gravel mountain road – it is not a mountain obstacle course but a test of endurance for those that want to go for it. Others may walk the course for the beauty - the pace is totally up to the participant. The fastest finishing man and woman each receive $120 cash. Following the finish competitors will ride the Stadium chair down.
Course records will be kept for each age category – starting at ages 4 and under, and increasing by 5 years all the way to 100+. The race starts at 10 AM, but registration and bib pick up opens at 8 AM.
Advance registration is $20 for ages 20 and older, $10 for 19 years and younger, and includes the race and chairlift ride. Competitors can register online through August 20. After that day of registration will be $5 more.
