Mt. Hood Meadows and Crooked Tree Tavern will present the “Cross on the Mountain” Cyclocross event at Cooper Spur Mountain Resort October 4. Located at 3,500’ on the north slopes of Mt. Hood the course will present both fun and challenge to all ages and ability levels.
Event Coordinator Tom Scully designed the 1.6 mile course, which he describes as being, “Filled with fun single-track trails, grass, dirt, pavement, gravel, barriers and other surprises. This is an all day event, with start times staggered so the whole family can compete and participate. Bring the whole family for great food and refreshments, incredible mountain views and autumn colors.”
The race kicks off with beginners at 8:40 in the morning, with heats scheduled through the top competitive categories in the afternoon. The event is designed with a full day of activities for the family including an appearance by the Meadows to People tour, offering ski and snowboard learning sessions and free season passes for ages 6 and under or junior lift tickets for ages 7 to 14.
There will be cash payouts to Category A Men and Women, with raffle prizes and free product given out thanks to the event sponsors.

Online Race Fees through October 3 are $10 for Juniors (18 and under), $22 for adults.
OBRA Membership is required for all riders. Single race memberships are available for $5.00. Season OBRA memberships are available for $30. Season OBRA memberships are $10 for juniors. OBRA racing rules and categories in effect.
