Mt. Hood Meadows joined 160 other ski areas today to establish a new Guinness world record for the most amount of people taking a ski and snowboard lesson. Unofficially we recorded 91 skiers and 92 snowboarders, which was in the top three in turnouts of the ski areas who have reported so far. The Learn a Snow Sports Month organization that sponsored the record attempt says the event brought thousands of new people to learn to ski or snowboard today, but won’t have an official amount for a day or two.
