Mt. Hood Meadows is offering a new service this year to those purchasing their rental equipment online in advance. With a 24 hour advance online purchase, the rental center will pre-tech the equipment, pull the skis or snowboard, put the guests name on it and attach any lift ticket or lesson vouchers ordered. This allows guests to completely bypass the registration and payment line at the rental center, giving them an express lane to fit their boots. And then - grab their boards and head right out on to the snow.
Rental Center Supervisor Dane Frisbie says the wait times will be dramatically decreased for online purchasers, explaining, “The at mountain registration and cashier line grows pretty long on our busier days, even with all the computer check in stations we have. We’re improving this experience with digital signature capture, reducing the paperwork, but still when a lot of people show up at the same time a line is inevitable. Those who make a reservation for a certain day and purchase 24 hours or more in advance completely bypass that line and go directly to getting their boots fit.” Frisbie notes that the pre-teched equipment bypasses another line of fitting equipment to the boots. “Our crews have already set up the equipment so the guest can grab it and get on to the snow to enjoy the mountain.”
