Mt. Hood Meadows is the most popular winter recreation and snow sports resort on Mt. Hood. The terrain is legendary - offering the variety to challenge and delight every level of rider from those just learning the sport on the gentle slopes of Buttercup to the most advanced plunging into the steeps of Heather Canyon.
Meadows pass selections are as varied at the terrain - allowing any snow sport enthusiast to select the right pass to meet their schedules and their pocket books. Here’s a primmer on the passes so you can select the right pass for you.
The ultimate pass as it offers lift access every lift, every hour, every day and night we are open. And that tends to be one of the longest seasons of any ski area in the country! The unlimited passes feature age based pricing (6 and under; 7 - 14; 15 - 24; 25 - 64; 64 - 74) and are discounted for the best price through November 6.
Only Unlimited Pass holders are eligible for the exchange programs
with 5 days at Mt. Baker (restrictive dates apply) and three days total at Steamboat and Winter Park (no restrictive dates.) Unlimited Pass holders are also covered by the 100 Day Guarantee
Anyone skiing or riding 7 or more times should get the Unlimited Pass.
The Value Pass offers its holders lift access for the vast majority of operational hours at Meadows. Meadows season generally runs more than 130 days - and the Value Pass has limited access on less than 25% of those days. Granted if you’re schedule only allows you to ski on weekends in January and February or during the Christmas and winter holidays, then the Unlimited Pass would be a better option.
The Value Pass is valid every day - but is not valid for skiing or riding until 3 PM during the following restricted periods: from December 17th through January 1st, Saturdays and Sundays during January and February, Presidents Day and MLK Day.
Anyone skiing or riding 5 or more times and would prefer to avoid peak days should consider the value pass.
Progression Pass Package
The Progression Pass (formerly called the Southside Pass) packages every day access to our southern most terrain serviced by the Buttercup, Easy Rider, Daisy and Vista Express chairlifts, as well as our over the snow conveyer lifts. Progression Pass holders receive unlimited rentals through our rental center and three free 2 hour lessons.
There are no restrictive dates on the Progression Pass but access is subject to lift operations.
The Progression Pass Package is ideal for beginner or lower intermediate level abilities who want to improve their technique and advance to more steeper terrain.
The Night Pass offers 3 - 9 PM access to the 240 acres of night lighted terrain. Night operations are scheduled five nights a week - Wednesday through Sunday evenings - with additional nights added during the Christmas holiday time frames, as well as MLK and President’s Holiday Mondays. The night season generally starts around mid-December and runs on the five night schedule through February.
If you love to ride under the lights and plan on coming up four or more times, you should get a Night Pass.
The 10 Time Pass offers a great deal, flexibility and convenience - you choose what days you want to ride. There are no restrictive dates on this direct to lift pass (unlike the old punch card) so you go right to the lift.
The 10 Time Pass pays for itself in five visits compared to the daily lift ticket price.
5 Time Pass
Offering the same flexibility and convenience as the 10 Time Pass, the 5 Time is ideal for those who know they will only be able to ski or ride five times or less, but still want the direct to lift convenience at the best possible price.
5 Time Pass holders are automatically enrolled in our loyalty rewards program.
