First Bluebird Day of Season

Categories: Guest Connection

Monday’s storm led to Tuesday’s bluebird delight. With 17 inches of fresh, light powder falling the previous 24 hours, conditions were deLightful for a perfect Bluebird powder day.

Videographer Pierce Hodges and our Ambassadors hit the snow and laid down some epic early season tracks. Hard to believe you could get a day like this in November! And that you can get this midweek delight for only $59 when you purchase online in advance (lift tickets at the ski area are $79).

Wednesday we set our sites further up the mountain in hopes of launching Vista Express. That could prove to be challenging considering the Winter Weather Advisory we are under through 6 PM Wednesday, with a forecast for another six to 12 inches of snow through the day. Vista operations can be affected by visibility (snowing hard) and high winds and we could have both Wednesday. But if Vista isn’t running, it probably means we’re having a powder play Wednesday.
