With a nation-leading snow depth and a forecast for more to come it is time to PARTY with a Brew Year’s Eve celebration presented by Full Sail Brewing Company. Mt. Hood Meadows opened Heather Canyon today, one of the earliest openings ever for the resort’s franchise expert terrain. The lowest gates serving Jack’s Woods and Absolute Magnitude were opened Saturday, and with a considerable amount of human effort but the rest of Heather Canyon from A-Zone on down was opened today.
The conditions are superb - arguably the best they have been going into the holiday break for the past decade. With the all this new snow, and the likelihood of blue skies this weekend, we expect our parking lots will be reaching capacity Saturday and Sunday. We are taking action by encouraging more of our team to carpool and utilize the employee shuttles we provide. We encourage our guests to do the same.
Events and entertainment is just more fun on the mountain - especially when that mountain is covered with one of the deepest snowpacks in the country!
The weekend is upon us, and with all the snow in the forecast we want to help you prepare for your trip up to the mountain to make you as successful as possible!
