Events and entertainment is just more fun on the mountain - especially when that mountain is covered with one of the deepest snowpacks in the country! Mt. Hood Meadows kicks off the holidays with the winter Brewfest this Saturday, featuring the Northwest’s finest microbrews. We are excited to host locally owned and operated breweries who share our passion for the mountain and the outdoors. Must be 21 (with valid ID) to enter the Brew Fest in Vertical North, but kids can be in the Vertical enjoying music by Tony Smiley.
December 17: Winter Brew Fest Noon - 5 PM at Vertical
Admission: $14 (includes glass loved MHM Brew Fest mug and 4 script tickets)
Breweries include: Widmer, Double Mountain, Ninkasi, 10 Barrel, Full Sail, Laurelwood, Hopworks, Pfriem, Everybody's, Backwoods and Breakside.
December 17: Tony Smiley LIVE 1 - 5 PM at Vertical
Electro Acoustic music featuring original soul bearing songs, improv crowd pleasers and creative cover mixes. Tony plays the keyboard, drum machine, guitar, tambourine, cowbell and beat box along with his vocals. His songs are original groove-laden works of art.
December 18: Breakfast with Santa 8 - 10 AM at Vertical
Bring the kiddos for Breakfast with Santa at Mt. Hood Meadows, December 18th. There are two seating times, 8 AM and 9 AM, and breakfast costs $8 for children 6 and younger and $10 for "big kids." Enjoy great food and tell Santa what you want this season!
The breakfast includes a make your own waffle bar a North Pole gift bag and of course the chance to share your wish list with Santa!

December 18: Sam Cordell Nordic Skate Clinic 9 AM - 4 PM Meadows Nordic Center
Former Member of the US Biathlon Team, Sam Cordell will hold a skate clinic in addition to different events throughout the day as part of the Meadows Nordic Symposium. The Clinic costs $35 and includes a hot dog lunch. No reservations required.
Morning events include yoga for ski fitness, skate clinic and video session, demonstration on stance, balance and foot structure analysis.
Afternoon events include a flex check for proper ski performance, time and intensity training with Sam Cordell, performance waxing workshop and video movement analysis.

December 18: Rerack Shipyard Showdown Noon - 3 PM Shipyard Rail Park
The ReRack Shipyard Showdown will take place on a newly rebuilt rail park at Shipyard. The entry fee is two cans of food or $5, which will be donated to the Mt. Hood area food bank. Registration starts at 11 AM in Shipyard. Swag prizes for various categories in skiing and snowboarding. Come jam out for a great cause!
