With 111 “skimmers” registered and a record number of spectators, the 10th Annual Sno-Kona Pond Skim was epic! This year’s costumes ranged from simply swimwear to dinosaurs to the Beetlejuice family! Costume creativity, overall impression and crowd enthusiasm were well represented on the podium.
Alex Zimmerman won top honors with the Trump Wall, dressed as the “Angry Hombre” he cruised across the pond on his snowboard and busted through a Trump protected wall, proving that the Pond Skim is open to all!

Physical feats were also rewarded - Paul Petrusich took second skiing across the pond on one ski, and somersaulting out of the pond! Isaac Bubb and Kevin Lund skied tandem with shell bikini tops as the Mermen to take third place.
Alex Pugliese won the Popina Favorite Hula Hooping across the pond. Alexi Miller dressed as a Rubber Duckie and inner tube to promote this summer’s Big Float and received the best splash, and Conlan Joy won the best costume as Rose from the Titanic. His crossing was as successful as the unsinkable ship’s!

The event was presented by Kona Brewing Company, Popina Swimwear and KEEN.
