Putting the Fun in Fundraising in April

Crag Rats on a search on Mt. HoodMt. Hood Meadows is using the wintery continuation of the season to raise money and awareness for local causes. The resort added four bonus midweek days April 17 - 20 and designated them to raise money for the Hood River Crag Rats search and rescue organization. $20 lift tickets are being sold online now with a goal of reaching $10,000 for the Crag Rats. The Crag Rats are the oldest mountain search organization in America and conduct more than 30 searches annually for those lost or injured in the Columbia River Gorge and on Mt. Hood. There are only 500 of the specially priced tickets available.

Suits and Boots event at Mt. Hood Meadows April 15For those searching out fun in the sun, Suits and Boots returns to Meadows Saturday, April 15. The event is a fundraiser for the Human Access Project (HAP) to create more public spaces, beaches and access points to the Willamette River in downtown Portland. Up to 200 lift tickets are available online for advance purchase at $10 each. Those purchasing must show their bathing attire in order to receive the ticket on April 15. Any remaining tickets not sold in advance will be available day of at $20 each to those showing off their swim suits.

Meadows is also working with the Mt. Hood Express to provide free transportation from Sandy on Earth Day, April 22. The schedule for that day is below - reservations can’t be made but the shuttles will be running on a regular schedule throughout the day to accommodate demand. Next season the Mt. Hood Express will expand routes beyond Government Camp to include Mt. Hood Meadows!
