Cyclocross is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and Oregon is the epicenter of this sport. Cooper Spur Mt. Resort presents the "Cross on the Mountain" October 1 - a combination of mountain biking and road bike racing. Cyclocross races over unique, albeit somewhat contrived courses incorporating pavement, dirt, grass, sand, gravel, single track trails, forcing riders over obstacles and occasionally off their bikes to run while carrying the bike.
The race is spectator friendly and involves heavy cheering and good-natured heckling. These races are for all abilities, ages, and genders as there are over 25 separate categories plus kiddie races over the course of the day so that everyone gets to enjoy the course.
