The clock is ticking down to our 50th anniversary birthday bash January 27 at Mt. Hood Meadows! It will be a day to celebrate our 50th anniversary season, with snow play, a 50th Anniversary vendor village, live music, fireworks and the selection of the ultimate Golden Ticket - a 50 year season pass to Mt. Hood Meadows.
And as we get close to this special day the opportunities to claim a Golden Ticket are revving up! We want to thank our Golden Ticket sponsors KOIN-6 TV and your local Toyota dealers for helping to provide the stoke for our Golden Ticket promotion.
A reminder - the Golden Ticket is a prize package that includes two lift tickets, a $50 Meadows gift card, commemorative 50th anniversary pins and one of only 50 entries into the drawing to win a 50 year season pass to Mt. Hood Meadows. That drawing will be held at the 50th Anniversary celebration at Meadows January 27th.

Post a memory on the Meadows Memories Facebook Group
There are some awesome photos and memories being share, many of which we’re presenting on the “Your Story Legends Box” at Mt. Hood Meadows. You have until January 15 to share your memory and we will award two Golden Tickets, one for the memory we like the best, and a random draw from those who submitted a memory (one draw per person, not for each memory or photo submitted - https://www.facebook.com/groups/MHMmemories).

When will we get to 50 inches in the base area?
Toyota is our official snow report sponsor so it’s only natural to tie in a Golden Ticket to our snow accumulation. Add a comment to the official Facebook Post making your guess when the total snow at the NWAC 5380 foot level telemetry will first record 50 inches in the base area. (https://www.nwac.us/weatherdata/mthoodmeadows/now/) You need to guess the exact date AND THE HOUR using military time (2:00 PM = 1400). We don’t read by minute. In the event of a tie the earliest guess wins (just one post per person please - we’ll go with your first guess). The Facebook post will be made Monday, January 8, and it will continue until we reach the 50 inch mark. If we haven’t gotten to 50 inches by noon January 25 we will randomly pick a winner from all who submitted.
Wear in the World Outer Limits Sports Facebook Contest
Post photos of you sporting our logo wear. We want to see where you’ve repped us and how far you’ve gone to show your love for Meadows! Two Golden Tickets will be awarded - a random draw from all the entries and the post we deem to be of the most exotic, distant or interesting location. It’s OK to rob your old photos - we appreciate you taking us on all of your travels! Make your posts through January 22 - we’ll announce our winners January 23.
January 10 and January 11 Night Riding!
Come on up for Meadows After Dark Wednesday, January 10 or Thursday, January 11. Anyone with a lift scan after 5 PM will be entered into the drawing for the Golden Ticket. There’ll be one give away Wednesday and one given away Thursday (winners announce the following day respectively).
Midweek buses kick off this week and….
Someone riding a midweek bus will win a golden ticket this Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday (January 9 - 11) will win a Golden Ticket! There will be a random draw to identify the bus, then a presentation of the Golden Ticket on the bus!

MLK Day Chair 50 Photo Contest
Come on up and ride from 9 AM - 9 PM on Martin Luther King Monday, January 15. The chairs on our lifts are numbered - take a photo of chair #50 on any of our lifts and post it to Instagram. You don’t need to be riding that chair, the number just needs to be clearly readable. Required hashtags #goldenticket #letsgoplacesNW #mthoodmeadows
Then and Now Dick Powers Facebook Photo Contest
On January 15 we will post an iconic photograph taken by our beloved photographer Dick Powers. Your mission is to find the same location, and retake that photo, then add your photo to the original post by commenting on it. The contest will run through January 21. One Golden Ticket will be given away in a random draw from all the submissions. Another Golden Ticket will be given away to the photo we judge to be the best reproduction of the original photo taken by Dick Powers. Winners will be announced January 22.

We are proud to announce that we have embellished the Alpenstube restaurant with iconic photos shot by Dick Powers during the early years of Mt. Hood Meadows. Take a walk around the Alpenstube to be transported back to the early days of Meadows - it really is quite fascinating. From January 16 - January 22 post a photo of you and your favorite Dick Powers photo on our Meadows Memories Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/MHMmemories. We’ll announce a winner, drawn at random on January 23.
January 18 - Our 50th day of operations this season
We have several Golden Ticket giveaways planned fo this, day, so you might as well come on up and join us!
Stop by Outer Limits Sports at 3 PM for a flash raffle drawing. Everyone in the store at 3 PM will receive a raffle ticket, and from only those we will draw for a Golden Ticket. We’ll do the same thing at 7 PM at the High Performance Center (HPC)! Come celebrate our 50th day of operation on our 50th anniversary season!
Stop by the Mazot on January 18 and be the 50th person to order an A-Zone IPA and you will win a Golden Ticket!

Last Chance Golden Ticket Drawing at the Crooked Tree
So you haven’t won a Golden Ticket yet! Stop by the Crooked Tree at Cooper Spur Mt. Resort. We’ll hand out a raffle ticket to everyone who is there on January 26 at 4 PM, again at 5 PM, again at 6 PM and finally at 7 PM. Then we will draw for the Golden Ticket - must be present to win. The longer you hang with us the more raffle tickets you’ll have in the drawing!

Meet us over by the Toyotas at noon January 27 wearing your retro ski wear. We will have a mini fashion show, and award a Golden Ticket to the best retro ski wear based on audience response.

Any remaining Golden Tickets will be raffled at the Double Mountain Entertainment Tent at Noon right after the Retro Ski Wear Fashion Show.
About the big drawing Saturday January 27
We need all the Golden Ticket Winners to check in at the Double Mountain Entertainment Tent by noon Saturday. The initial screening will occur around 2 PM, a second drawing further reducing the field will occur around just before 4 PM, and the winning 50 year season pass will be awarded just before the fireworks at 5:30 PM. Get ready to celebrate!
