Meadows Parks voted top 6 in North America by TWS Reader PollThe long awaited TWS 2018 Park Poll results have been officially released - and Mt. Hood Meadows has landed #6 in North America and #2 in the Northwest. The poll is driven by park riders voting on their favorite parks and a data-derived from Snow Park Technologies.

Meadows Parks have undergone an evolution over the past few seasons, aligning park leadership and resources with the demands and desires of the park riding public. In addition to hosting a significant number of high school and USASA freestyle competitions, the parks crew designs, builds and maintains up to seven different park venues through the course of the season.

“We are pleased to see these results and recognition from those who ride our parks,” said Meadows Parks Manager T.J. Moloney. “We’ve responded to the broadening demographic of park users with more family cross courses but continue to create innovative features and park flow that appeal to all ability of riders. Last season was a challenge to build and maintain our varied parks with all the snow we received. At the height we had 148 terrain features in our parks.”

This season has also been challenging, with less than normal snowpack. Still Meadows has moved forward with major builds of the Vista Park and now with the recent snow, the 18 foot halfpipe construction will begin.

“Our parks crew is inspired by our passionate guests who love to ride the features we design for them,” said Moloney. “It’s a long season and we have a lot of park riding and events coming up that we are stoked about!”

The Full Sail Banked Slalom is April 7 and Meadows has announced the return of it’s most popular freestyle event - Toyota reVEGETATE presented by Ninkasi Brewing - April 21 and 22. The event features a speed and style course on Saturday and a slopestyle on Sunday.
