Jeremy Evans - Director of Fleet Operations
Jeremy Evans joined the Meadows team nearly a decade ago as a vehicle mechanic and working his way up to vehicle shop manager. Evans grew up on Mt. Evans also serves on the Ski Area Vehicle Institute (SAVI) board of directors. As Director of Fleet Operations Evans’ responsibilities will include oversight of the Vehicle Shop, Slope Grooming, Terrain Parks and Parking and Transportation. Meadows C.O.O. Jake Bolland praised Evans for his accomplishments, saying, “Jeremy has done an incredible job as the Vehicle Shop Manager and has played an integral role in many special projects including but not limited to the New Shop, removal of the old fuel pumps and installation of the new generator fuel pump (to name a few); all while maintaining a fleet of high quality snow cats and our overall vehicle fleet.”
Amanda Kandler - Director of Finance
Amanda Kandler joins the Meadows team having served as the Accounting Manager at Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital in Yakima, WA, overseeing eleven staff accountants, payroll clerks, and accounts payable specialists. She successfully led the effort to convert the accounting department to a modern web-based accounting application. Meadows C.O.O. Jake Bolland welcomed Kandler to her new position, saying, “Amanda was drawn to the Columbia Gorge and Mt. Hood for many reasons; notably Amanda and her family’s love for the outdoors as well as the opportunity to be a part of the Meadows family. And I quote her, ‘The dedication that this company has to its employees, its guests and the mountain itself is very inspiring and something that I am proud to say that I would love to be a part of!’”
Bolland clarified the appointments of Mel Toney and Jeremy Evans occurred earlier this season, saying, “Mel and Jeremy have both exemplified our core values and provided excellent leadership to our Company. I am so stoked and thankful to announce such high quality individuals in these vital roles.” Amanda Kandler joined the team April 16.
