"Suds and Shrooms" Brewers and Morel Mushroom Dinner Kicks off Summer Sunset Dinner Series

Categories: Guest Connection Media Center Culinary Services

Brewers and Morel Mushroom Dinner at Mt. Hood MeadowsMt. Hood Meadows has again paired up with Pfriem Family Brewers to present a “Suds and Shrooms” dinner Saturday, June 2nd. Last year the dinner sold out - probably because the menu is designed around arguably the most flavorful mushroom in the world - the morel.

The morel, or morchella is actually more related to the truffle than it is to other mushrooms, adding great depth of earth flavor to any dish that includes them. They have a very short growing season which also makes this dinner unique.

The brewers and mushroom dinner will celebrate this season’s bountiful harvest of morel’s with one of Hood River’s finest breweries. Meadows Executive Chef Daniel Dehay has created an amazing menu to pair with uniquely tasteful and complimenting Pfriem specialty brews. The morel appetizers are amazing, the salad refreshing and the cream of mushroom soup obligatory, yet delightfully morel. The “morel” to this story is it will be an exquisitely luscious and delicious culinary experience.
