Mt. Hood Meadows has increased the amount of free ski days All Access pass purchasers will receive at other ski areas this season. In addition to five days at Washington's Mt. Baker, All Access pass purchasers will receive three days each at nine other ski resorts in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Wyoming, bringing the grand total of free ski days to twenty-nine!
V.P. of Sales and Marketing Dave Tragethon says the resorts offer a great variety for All Access pass purchasers, stating, “We are pleased to increase the number of free ski days our All Access pass purchasers receive this season. We have partnered with some of the best independently owned and operated ski areas in the west and we are proud to exchange our experiences with each other. The primary reason someone purchases a Meadows All Access season pass is for the legendary terrain and life-enriching experience we are known for. For those who have the chance to travel this winter, these free ski days will provide great adventures discovering these treasures.”
The ski areas offering three free days with no restrictive dates are Whitefish Mountain Resort in Montana, Purgatory Ski Resort, Sunlight Mountain Resort and Hesperus in Colorado; Snowbowl in Arizona; Pajarito Mountain and Sipapu in New Mexico; and Nordic Valley in Utah. Grand Targhee Resort’s free ski days require booking lodging at their partner properties. The five days at Mt. Baker have some restrictive dates.
Exchange Program Details
The Meadows Exchange program started five years ago with the five-day Mt. Baker exchange. Steamboat and Winter Park resorts were added the following season, offering All Access pass holders a combined three days of free skiing between the two resorts. Earlier this year mega-resort conglomerate Alterra acquired Steamboat and Winter Park and chose not to exchange with Meadows this season, prompting Meadows to reach out to other independent operators. “We approached ski areas that we felt would add value to our All Access pass, offering genuine, friendly experiences to their guests. These are largely locally owned and operated resorts that provide unique and personalized experiences much like Meadows and Mt. Baker. Each has their own individual appeal and charm that we believe our All Access pass purchasers will appreciate and enjoy,” explains Tragethon.
Meadows offers a variety of season passes from night passes to multi-day passes (10 Time or 5 Time passes) and the popular Value Pass – a hybrid midweek, night and Spring pass that can be upgraded to include individual peak day or all peak day access. There’s even a Beginner Progression season pass that includes access to beginner and intermediate terrain serviced by five chair lifts, season long ski or snowboard equipment rentals and three lessons.
Only the All Access pass includes the free ski days with Meadows Exchange partners.
